@writeontheedg3 @taco_talks You have made a lot of assumptions in your replies. Taco did not make a careless reply. I never said we weren't judged. We do not agree on who God saves. Have a good day.

But did you read the scriptures? They speak of good and bad deeds - “deeds whether good or bad” This is not a “only the bad guys get judged“ You will be judged for every word and deed. It’s always ignored by most Protestants (of which I am one, btw). But you and I will be weighed as well. I agree about the two paths, but it’s important we understand a man in the woods who has never met Christ’s works or seen scripture, is not judged in the same way as that rapist who is surrounded by the scriptures. And you as a human man do not know what happens to that man’s soul or how God judges him. God is the Judge. And many times in the OT God accepts honorable men’s worship as loyalty to Him, even when they are not in the covenant. I just think we should be careful not to make quippy, sensational, statements about sin that are not accurate.

Everyone needs to see this level of narcissism and reject it. People DO NOT understand how evil we are.

@writeontheedg3 @taco_talks Are you denying the imputation of the believer's sin to Christ?! 1 Peter 2:24 Isaiah 53:5-6 Romans 4:5-6 Romans 3:25-26 I did not state that we receive Christ's good works. However, he took on the sinand punishment of all believers and has prepared good work for them to do.

@writeontheedg3 @taco_talks Did I deny that sin was weighed? No. I simply stated that all unbelievers, regardless of sin, would be in hell. Unbelievers will possibly receive weighted judgement in hell, but the destination is not a degree of punishment.

@writeontheedg3 @taco_talks Only by the grace of God are your actions not as bad as a rapist. The rapist who is an unbeliever and the liar who is an unbeliever will both be in hell. The liar won't be boasting he wasn't a rapist.

@kangminlee @Rach4Patriarchy @Nicholai_Korea It is difficult to justify why they would presume to host a podcast at all. Yet this is characteristic of Protestantism: anyone, armed merely with a personal testimony, feels entitled to establish a ministry without formation, without accountability...

I see a lot of people criticizing Fr Josiah for going on this podcast, but I am asking you to first watch the episode before doing that. Fr Josiah gave important correction in a way that protestants can actually receive. This is not ecumenism. He’s teaching.

@ShamashAran I don't speak furry. "Actually, I was talking about Jesus with a physical body. " Nobody who knows anything about Christianity would have asked that to begin with. As has been pointed out by every Christian, Jesus has eternally existed and Scripture is His word.

Dr. Meredith Stone is the head of “Baptist Women in Ministry.” She announces her opposition to the Truth & Unity Amendment, suggesting that it “berates” women. Her words are a massive distortion of Scripture. We need to pass this amendment.

1Ti 2 says “a woman” not “women.” Check your Greek. Paul’s purpose was that Timothy instruct certain people to Stop teaching false doctrine not to handcuff half the church from teaching the truth to anyone! 1Ti 3 does not say “must be male” anymore than it says “must be married with more than one believing child”. The male form can be used when both male and female is intended; it is up to the reader to discern based on context. Titus 1 is a repeat of 1Ti 3.

@ryanschatz @salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @DennyBurk What chapter and verse says God overlooked (excused sin is what you're saying) polygamy? Is there any other sin that God just overlooks and ignores? How do you know that these desires are from God and not Satan? How do you know that the desire isn't misdirected? Gen 3:16

Scripture says God overlooked polygamy under the old covenant. No such thing is said about women leading. And the fact that God equips women and gifts them and gives them the desire to lead but then blocks them because of something they can’t change is kind of crazy. But that’s your view…

@ryanschatz @salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @DennyBurk 1 Tim 2 - Women are not to teach or have authority over men in the Church. 1 Tim 3 - Qualifications for elders only includes men. Titus 1 - Qualification men only. I misread your statement about God disallowing certain things.

@RBM7211 @salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @DennyBurk I am not arguing with God but with your faulty interpretation of His word. I’m doing it to spare you the embarrassment when one day you discover you weren’t rightly dividing the Word. What specific qualifications are only for men? This has nothing to do with childbirth.

@ryanschatz @salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @DennyBurk As to the women leading churches in Iran, yes, those men and women are in sin if they are not abiding by God's commands. But that doesn't mean God isn't doing amazing things through them. Polygamy was sinful, yet God did amazing things in spite of the men who practiced it.

@ryanschatz @salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @DennyBurk I don't just think it; it's a role with biblical qualifications only for men. Your argument is not with me, but with God. It is a fact that only men and women are capable of certain things. Child birth for example. I never said anything about "making space" for men.

1. Hey that’s my line against you 😅 2. Don’t get confused by the male form representing both male and female. It’s a common thing in gendered languages. 3. What point are you trying to make? 4. Apostles are both silly! Pastoring is shepherding. Are you really saying what Paul was doing was not shepherding and overseeing after he shared the gospel and started a church? He was all of the above.

@salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @ryanschatz @DennyBurk This has nothing to do with superiority or downplaying the roles of women. It's about recognizing the biblical roles appointed to men and women by God and fulfilling them faithfully. Men and women are equal in worth, but differ in abilities and roles.

@salthenurse08 @Athomp1995 @ryanschatz @DennyBurk 1. Tradition does not trump Scripture. 2. There are no biblical prescriptive qualifications for women elders/pastors, only male qualifications. 3. Upper positions are nondescript and irrelevant. 4. Apostles are not pastors. Apostles were sent out by Jesus.

@Athomp1995 @ryanschatz @DennyBurk There are numerous examples of women functioning as elders or in upper positions in the Early Church. You're not one of those guys who thinks the apostle was actually Junias and not Junias are you?
