Today @WCKitchen lost several of our sisters and brothers in an IDF air strike in Gaza. I am heartbroken and grieving for their families and friends and our whole WCK family. These are people…angels…I served alongside in Ukraine, Gaza, Turkey, Morocco, Bahamas, Indonesia. They are not faceless…they are not nameless. The Israeli government needs to stop this indiscriminate killing. It needs to stop restricting humanitarian aid, stop killing civilians and aid workers, and stop using food as a weapon. No more innocent lives lost. Peace starts with our shared humanity. It needs to start now.

We did it! Teams of @WCKitchen and @openarms_fund working hard to offload all 200 tons…12 trucks! This was a test! To learn…we could bring thousands of tons a week..with what we learn we will get better…working with the local communities of Palestinians “Operation Safeena” is led by Arab countries, UAE and Jordan with WCK and all the support of Cyprus’s coordinating inspections…#FeedTheNorth

Yes we must improve child nutrition but shutting down Summer EBT is like closing all schools because some are underperforming…makes things worse. Instead let’s invest in improving the quality!

The state of Iowa will not apply for a Summer 2024 EBT program to feed kids. In a release, Gov. Kim Reynolds said the program isn't sustainable and "an EBT card does nothing to promote nutrition at a time when childhood obesity has become an epidemic."
