Remember Scott McNealy's, Sun Microsystems CEO, in his "What Were You Thinking?" interview in 2002. That was 10xRevenue, Nvidia is now 29x, Tesla is 16x: #spx #nvda #tsla #bubble #mag7

TO KEEP IT SIMPLE: Trump said: Open the Strait of Hormuz, or I’ll send Iran back to the Stone Age. Iran not only agreed to reopen it, but also accepted a temporary ceasefire after spending weeks refusing any truce & demanding the war end completely. Now they’re trying to sugarcoat everything & paint it in a nicer light for their people and supporters. That’s their business. The facts are straightforward: Trump demanded it, set a clear deadline with a serious threat & Iran folded. Simple as that!

What does the UK think of the Iran demand they control shipping and charge a toll in the Straits? As this is a clear violation of international law why isn’t the PM speaking out against it?

@BamaBonds It is over but the world has a new superpower. Iran control 20% of global oil flows. They wasted all those years being a terrorist state. Watch how they make Israel back down in lebanon.

You’ll be seeing a lot of people arguing that, for various reasons, the Great Hormuz Crisis of 2026 is not over. So here’s a pro tip: It’s over.

So Trump goes full scorched-earth rhetoric. He gets mocked, called dangerous, “unhinged” and then within hours?Iran says they’ll open the Strait of Hormuz after he told Iran they better open it or else. You can hate the tone. You can hate the man but you can’t ignore the result. This is called The Art of the Deal—backed by the reality that he’ll actually pull the trigger. Of course, if Iran doesn’t open the straight then Hellish fury will rain down on the Regime and Trump will have even more leverage after the dust settles.

“You now see the global superpower humbled by a tinpot theocratic dictatorship.” Trump's failure to force Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz "is America's Suez moment”, says General Sir Richard Shirreff, former Nato deputy supreme allied commander. @rosiewright99 | #TimesRadio

The ceasefire gives Iran control over the Strait of Hormuz, which it did not have before Trump launched the war. The regime is still in place, it still has enriched uranium, the capability to shoot missiles at drones at its neighbors. What, other than chaos, did Trump achieve?

@Susanhangreen @johnredwood No, but i'd rather they werent shown how they no longer need to be a terrorist state. They have a much more powerful weapon. They can close the strait. Threatening to wipe a civilisation out is, btw, a threat of genocide.

@MJSievers Odd take. Iran can close the strait at will. This is a superpower they werent sure they had. Trump got nothing but them saying they would open (on their terms) what was freely open before. No other concessions.

My take on the ceasefire Iran blinked. Just yesterday the regime rejected a temporary ceasefire and refused to meet in Islamabad. Over night they took President Trump’s threats seriously. There is no way to bridge Iran’s 10 points with America’s 15. So the outcome of negotiations depends on whether Iran accepts the fundamental U.S. demands: removal of highly enriched uranium, no further enrichment, dismantlement of ballistic missile and drone capacity, an end to funding and directing the regional proxies, and full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. We’ll see soon enough.

Isn’t the strait now open due to the pressure from Trump? Did you forget how Iran hijacked an entire oil distribution waterway? Did you forget that Iran has been the world’s biggest sponsor of terrorism and has been reported as such ever since I was a little child and most of your working career? Are you forgetting something? Don’t you that no one on the planet has had the guts to target Iran and their fanatical ideology in this way? Things just needed to change in that area. I mean who defends themselves in a random hissy-fit way by bombing its neighbours and blaming 2 nations for it all? Those neighbours lost affected will NOT forget.

All most every sentence of this is a lie. And if the Strait of Hormuz does open it will be on Iranian terms, something Iran did not enjoy before Trump’s War. So thanks a lot for the Tehran Toll Booth.
Karoline Leavitt@PressSec

This is a victory for the United States that President Trump and our incredible military made happen. From the very beginning of Operation Epic Fury, President Trump estimated this would be a 4-6 week operation. Thanks to the unbelievable capabilities of our warriors, we have achieved and exceeded our core military objectives in 38 days. More on that tomorrow morning from @SecWar and Chairman Caine! The success of our military created maximum leverage, allowing President Trump and the team to engage in tough negotiations that have now created an opening for a diplomatic solution and long-term peace. Additionally, President Trump got the Strait of Hormuz reopened. Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully advance America’s interests and broker peace.

The 2-week pause is subject to Iran agreeing to the "complete, immediate, and safe opening" of the Strait of Hormuz 2. Trump describes this as a "double sided ceasefire" brokered by Pakistan 3. Trump says the US has "already met and exceeded all military objectives" 4. Trump says the US and Iran are "far along with a definitive agreement for long-term peace" 5. Trump says Iran's 10-point proposal is a "workable basis" and this two-week period will allow an agreement to be finalized We now await comment from Iran.

Labour have finally noticed the Plan 2 student loan problem (after we pushed it). But their cap isn’t enough. Graduates are still paying interest way above inflation. That’s the real problem. We’d scrap interest above RPI entirely. Fair and simple. Only @Conservatives have a New Deal For Young people and a plan to Get Britain Working Again💪

@frankiem63 @atc1249 @E_Meadley @afneil We were talking about school shootings but you changed the subject. As you just did again. Read more is my advice. You said a knife murder was at a school, it wasn't, you then changed from school to general homicides with some racist rhetoric, you then doubled down. Boring.

Last year there were 14,651 murders in America involving guns. Britain? 32 So I suspect even you can see where the problem is. And we’re nowhere near an Islamist abyss.
James Woods@RealJamesWoods

Our friends, the Brits, went from relinquishing their right to bear arms in 1997 to standing on the edge of the Islamist abyss today. Our Second Amendment is not about the right to go duck hunting, folks. It’s about keeping power in the hands of The People.

@frankiem63 @atc1249 @E_Meadley @afneil They were pre school - it was a party. It was not school related. Of mass school shooting since 2000 in the US the perpetrators are 65% White, 11% Hispanic/Latino, 10% Black, 6% Asian, 3% Native American but you keep making stuff up if you like. In the UK there have been none.

BREAKING: Iran has delivered its highly anticipated "10-point" response to the US' "15-point peace plan." Iran's 10-point plan includes: 1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again 2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire 3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon 4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran 5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies 6. In return, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz 7. Iran would impose a Hormuz fee of $2 million per ship 8. Iran would split these fees with Oman 9. Iran to provide rules for safe passage through Hormuz 10. Iran to use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations President Trump's "deadline" for a peace deal with Iran is 25 hours away.
