@FiaZimbabwe @MoHCCZim @AHBNetwork @molokele @womenlifthealth @YHA_Africa @YHOint @RhonafloF I would cut budgets for ma shefu, reduce their allowances and channel the money to the rehabilitation of hospitals and clinics.

@ZIMCODD1 @OpenParlyZw @ParliamentofZim @energymutodi @HeraldZimbabwe @Oxfam @muchamidzi @JoyMabenge @YeukaiMunetsi @y_millin @nangozimbabwe @accountlabzw My biggest concern is corruption and tenderprenuership. The more finances leak the bigger the debt. The bigger the debt the less becomes available for public service deliveries. #fightinequality #stronginstitutions

@OpenParlyZw @ParliamentofZim @energymutodi @HeraldZimbabwe @Oxfam @muchamidzi @JoyMabenge Did you know Zimbabwe's debt burden continues to grow? What's your biggest concern about the country's debt situation?

Zion City Foundation (ZCF) is among partner organizations implementing the Feminist Agroecology Model Schools (#FAMS) project being led by @foodjusticenet.
💡With a background in empowering youths through educational support and skills training, ZCF will implement the #FAMS project at Mvuthu BH11 through equipping farmers with vocational skills, value addition techniques, and market access strategies.
Part of their objectives also include advocating for policy changes that support agro-ecology and climate resilience programming.

@CNRG_ZIM @ElephantsTN @ElephantTrust @elephantvoices @World_Wildlife @NicolaWatson13 @PresValerio @emsfoundationsa This is a big win. I remember the abuse I endured due to my stance on the issue of culling. Happy for the elephants😊

Advocacy Win: Elephant Culling Halted
CNRG is pleased to share a major breakthrough in our advocacy against the indiscriminate culling of elephants in Zimbabwe.
Through the information we received confidentially, we can confirm that no culling exercise was conducted as initially feared. Instead, any elephant hunts that took place were done under the approved management quota, as part of routine wildlife population control.
We also learned that during the recent drought season, only 20 elephants were hunted in Tsholotsho District under management protocols, with the meat distributed to local communities—a far cry from mass culling.
This outcome reflects the power of strategic advocacy, public pressure, and engaged communities in holding institutions accountable. Our collective action helped ensure that the Minister’s earlier remarks on culling did not translate into widespread action on the ground.
When the @MinOECW announced a proposed mass culling exercise of 200 elephants, we mobilized a powerful advocacy campaign:
👨🏿💻Convening virtual discussions (X Space) with our network of stakeholders x.com/CNRG_ZIM/statu… @foodjusticenet
🧾 Releasing joint press statement cnrgzim.org/press-releases… with civic organizations, conservation groups, and animal rights advocates @Action4ElliesUK @ElephantTrust @ZimbabweElepha1 @elephantvoices
📻 Airing targeted radio sessions where our director @FMaguwu engaged in robust discussions with @Zimparks
🗞️Commissioning expert position papers—to challenge and critique the proposed elephant culling
We will continue monitoring and engaging to ensure ethical and sustainable conservation practices.

Frontline communities often bear the brunt of climate impacts. What better way to address these issues than to co-create knowledge and harness synergies whilst bearing in mind their differences? #FAMSInAction
Community Podium@communitypodium
📢 @foodjusticenet coordinator, Roselilly Ushewokunze, describes the Feminist Agroecology Model Schools (FAMS) project as one that is people-centric. The project recognises that frontline communities experience critical challenges, including lack of food sovereignty and the brutal impacts of climate change, thus requiring frontline communities to be at the centre of providing solutions. #communitydiaries #FAMSInAction

📢@foodjusticenet recently launched a Feminist Agroecology Model Schools (FAMS) project, a project seeking to tackle intersecting challenges of climate vulnerability, food systems fragility, and social inequality that disproportionately affect women and girls across Africa.
✅️In collaboration with grassroot partner organizations, the Food Justice Network (FJN) will implement the FAMS project in the Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North, Manicaland and Mashonaland East provinces of Zimbabwe. As the project takes off, its objective is to demonstrate the viability and replicability of the agroecology model as a sustainable alternative to industrial food systems and to increase the adaptive capacity of grassroots communities to climate change.
