GREAT NEWS! Surgeon said that, over the next 3 weeks, I can incrementally go from 20% to 100% in weight lifted, meaning I’ll be back in the gym asap. 💪

Betty Boop wasn't black, but I'm not bothered by this casting. One of the biggest avatars of the flapper era was the talented and heroic Josephine Baker (who spied for the Allies and was a major help to the Resistance), so if it strikes that sort of aesthetic, it could be interesting.
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm

Quinta Brunson will star as Betty Boop in a new film. The film - made in collaboration with the creator's grandson - would follow the origin & evolution of Betty Boop through the POV of her creator, Max Fleischer. (Source: variety.com/2026/film/news…)

The sodium dump on Reta is real and most users have no idea its happening 🏴‍☠️ GLP-1s tell your kidneys to flush out more sodium than usual its called natriuresis and the science is rock solid 🏴‍☠️ Studies show GLP-1 can increase sodium excretion by up to 40 to 70 percent🏴‍☠️ Pair that with reduced food intake and most people are walking around in a low key electrolyte deficit without realizing it 🏴‍☠️ The symptoms hit quietly 🏴‍☠️ Nagging headaches 🏴‍☠️ Heart palpitations or that fluttery chest feeling🏴‍☠️ Brain fog when you should feel sharp🏴‍☠️ Dizziness when you stand up too fast🏴‍☠️ Fatigue that no amount of sleep fixes🏴‍☠️ These are electrolyte side effects from running reta without supplemental minerals🏴‍☠️ Sodium potassium and magnesium are non negotiable 🏴‍☠️ This is the easiest fix in the entire protocol🏴‍☠️ These are symptoms I experienced early on in my reta research and they have sense then been alleviated with proper mineralization for the most part 🏴‍☠️ 🧬🔬

One more thing: the effects of high blood are *cumulative*. One may not be diagnosed as a diabetic or pre-diabetic, but still, over time, experience the symptoms of diabetes, such a peripheral neuropathy, polydipsia and -urea, slow wound healing and the like. Best to keep it low. Not a doctor.

@TheShreddington You’ve got a good guy there. Optimal is 5.0 or below and most people don’t get that. You can politely ignore what the ADA says on the subject. Mine runs about 5.2 as well.

And so the bulk ends. 365 days has gone by in a near blink of an eye. Funny how time speeds up as you age. Art Bell called it “the quickening”. Where did this excursion take me? This was not a regular bulk. Far from it. This experiment was set forth to see if I could increase muscle mass, increase fat (slightly), and more importantly improve my overall health. Successful across the board…more or less. I started at 187.9 pounds and I close out at 203.6 ApoB Start: Over 100 APob End: 45 A1C Start: 5.3 A1C End: 5.3 (dropped as low as 4.9) Fasted Insulin Start: 1 Fasted Insulin End: 5 InBody Body Fat% (take it for what it’s worth) Start: allegedly 6% End: allegedly 3% Peptides/Drugs 80mg Test C a week (constant throughout and prior to the bulk as part of my HRT) Reta: 1.45mg per week HGH: 2-3units per day (consistent prior to the bulk as part of my HRT) Where do I go from here? Not sure. I’ll roll back on the carbs to get my A1C under control. 5.3 is out of my comfort zone and is considered “pre-diabetic” by some more aggressive doctors. I will connect with a new coach to see what new experiments we can cook up.

From a pure fat-loss standpoint, the answer is C) progress pics. Progress pics will show the physical fat loss, specifically definition in muscles, and everyone's favorite: abs. Why do the others not show TRUE fat loss? A) Bodyweight - The worst metric. Water, sodium, glycogen, food still digesting, and menstrual cycles for women skew the scale. Bodyweight cannot distinguish body fat from skeletal muscle. B) Waist measurement - This one can be defendable because it comes hand in hand with progress pics, and abdominal fat is the toughest spot to lose visceral fat for MOST PEOPLE. Where people fail here is consistency with measuring the same navel spot, same time of day, fasted/full, etc. D) Body fat msmt scales - These are a guessing game; there's nothing accurate about stepping on a bodyweight scale you bought from Target and it telling you you're 10% body fat. They send tiny currents through your body at your feet, and this is heavily influenced by hydration, meals, skin temp, and where the current physically travels. E) How clothes fit - too slow. By the time your jeans feel looser, weeks have passed, and you've got zero idea whether the change came from the last two weeks of your hard effort in the gym and kitchen or the two before that. Hope this helps!
