If there is a state with greater scenic beauty than Oregon, I haven’t seen it. Mountains, high desert, Pacific, Hood, Columbia, Portland — it’s just spectacular. I don’t want to spoil anything for residents, but it’s a truly underrated state. I’m lucky to have married into it.

@REALLeviCooper @MatScouts1 Yes. I think all youth should be on paper. Those results really don’t matter except for the radical parents that think Cael is recruiting in the third grade! lol! I think high school and up should be online and available for ranking purposes. track profiles of young kids is crazy

Kids today will never know the joy of having to go in the hallway to look at brackets on the wall to see who you wrestled next.

@TassRobertson @MatScouts1 Agree they are more efficient for the day of but if we are trying to keep track of every bout in a tournament for state level implications it’s much easier to be able to auto upload that info instead of someone having to go retroactively input the data

@MatScouts1 I did a paper tournament last season with 400 kids. Ran it in 4 hours. The only complaint was they didn’t know how to find their bracket on the wall. They were arranged by age groups and in weight order! Nobody will agree with me , but paper tournaments are most efficient.

@TuckerMax @Snakeeater36 Very true. When you have been in situations so often you fully understand what to expect and you’ve put it all on the line multiple times it’s wild how much time slows in those situations. No thinking just pure reaction.

@Snakeeater36 Heres the thing: Someone without any experience with guns or combat or even just basic violence truly can NOT comprehend this. Their understanding of these issues is the same as a childs. Im not even insulting them, they are so in the dark they dont even realize it

Some folks just aren’t getting it. The skill difference between these units isn’t even a gap. It’s an entirely different dimension. Just because both orgs are “military in nature” doesn’t make them comparable. It’s like comparing a Pomeranian to a Timberwolf. You have a force, that since its inception was designed for CT/HR. Picked the most skilled from our ranks and then thrust into a 20 year war, where their skills evolved beyond probability any military unit in human history.
