Why do political parties think knocking £150 off energy bills is a vote winner? Sure it's welcome but not exactly a game changer. How about a few grand off by reducing council tax, water, petrol, food, VAT? £150 is how little they think you can be bought for. It's an insult

@DraganBajic @db_fink Might be no but am getting fed up with it. My company switched from DB to DC nearly 30 years ago due to the increasing cost of DB pensions. Civil Servants will be minted I. Retirement compared to everyone else. When is this ever going to be looked at 🤷‍♂️

Because 80% of council spend is on social care.

@higgyboson Best one for me was War of the Worlds on Netflix Walking through London, along the Thames, then through a nice Georgian square then through the city of London. The square is in Bristol From then on it was a case of “spot Bristol” in each episode 😂😂

I'm watching a TV programme about Antique dealers in South Devon. Lots of lovely scenic vistas of coastlines and countryside etc. And lots of participants filmed driving their cars to various towns across the area. Most of them are actually driving in opposite direction to their claimed destination and others are driving on roads absolutely miles away from either their starting point or town they're travelling to. Many of them are filmed driving along a particular coastal road in Torquay for no apparent reason because they're later filmed walking around an entirely different town and wouldn't have gone anywhere near Torquay to get there. Sometimes having local knowledge absolutely spoils the enjoyment of what should be 30 minutes of relaxed viewing.

My friend tried to withdraw £20k from his high street bank & their response was shocking For 30 years he’s has been a loyal customer of this major bank He called to withdraw the money & they said no, you have to come into the branch He went into the branch & asked asked to withdraw the £20k and they asked 'what it’s for'? He said ’none of your business, it’s my money’ They said ‘unless you can tell us exactly what the money is for, you cannot withdraw it' This should shock & terrify you, because your own money isn’t even yours anymore

@DennyTWright @AvonandsomerRob Spot on. Grew up in the Mumbles, 2 nightclubs and loads of pubs. In fact the local drink challenge was to “do the Mumbles mile”, pint in every one. Looked the other day, no night clubs and half the pubs gone. Youngsters now how to go “into town” to some crappy chain club🙄
