I'm trying to figure out what the play is here. The 3PL space is a very crowded market with incredibly low margins.
The best myself and others have come up with is that it's a play on the very expensive capital assets involved (quiet divestment or juicing returns).

Ken Griffin is self-made. He built his businesses largely outside NYC but is now growing it in NYC. With Ken comes construction of an office tower, high paying jobs, tax revenue and a remarkable commitment to local philanthropy. Not sure why that pisses off the new mayor.

Millenials are obviously the first frequent users of the internet and social media but they did NOT grow up with it from their earliest childhood. You’ve written yourself how you remember having a designated computer room before smartphones and laptops! I was born in 1998, and even I am not as much of a ‘digital native’ as those born post-2000 or 2005. I work with younger Gen Z and their relationship to the internet is very, very different than yours or even mine because they’ve never had to ‘compartmentalize’ it. That’s my point.

I am around “normal” undergraduate students all day (both lw and rw) and almost all of them know every niche internet reference, meme, and personality… I am convinced that everyone born before ~1995 lacks a theory of mind for Gen Z, they’re the first settlers of the digital global village and everything good or bad about them is downstream of this.
