This woman shares a vulnerable experience she had at a Costco parking lot. 💔
I waited for this man to load his truck. We chatted, and with the biggest smile, he told me he has terminal lung cancer — less than a month left. His wife just passed. No family here.
I asked if I could hug him… we hugged for two full minutes in the parking lot. He said: ‘Every day won’t always be a good day, but it’s never a bad life.’
Be patient. Talk to strangers. You never know what someone’s carrying. Cherish this life. 🥹

@docrussjackson I've been aware of the insane Orwellian transgressions of the islamo-British govt for many years. The oppression of Katie, Tommy, Lucy Connolly, Graham Linehan, & several others are known to me. But only today am I learning of Alex Belfield, and this may be the most dastardly.

Feels like groundhog day...
Yesterday, 29 April 2026, theatre blogger Philip Dehany won his High Court civil claim for harassment against Alex Belfield. The judge ruled in Dehany’s favour on liability, confirming that Belfield had harassed him.
Damages and costs will be determined at a future hearing. This is a separate civil matter from the 2022 criminal conviction.
Alex Belfield is a former BBC Radio Leeds presenter and YouTuber who built a large online following as a self-styled “Voice of Reason.” He worked for years in local radio before leaving the BBC after being suspended for lewd on-air comments. He then turned to YouTube and freelance journalism, where he specialised in outspoken, anti-establishment content.
His politics were broadly right-wing, populist and anti-establishment. He positioned himself as a working-class critic of elites, relentlessly attacking the BBC for alleged bias, waste, corruption and “tick-box” diversity hiring.
He strongly opposed “woke” culture, political correctness, cancel culture, identity politics and what he saw as excessive trans rights activism (including targeting former colleagues).
He was critical of high immigration, supported tougher border controls post-Brexit, opposed COVID lockdowns, and railed against liberal/globalist elites.
His tone overlapped with figures like Katie Hopkins and Jim Davidson. While he had no formal party ties, his output aligned with right-populist sentiments (similar to Reform UK/Restore Britain).
Critics often described his material as far-right, laced with racism, misogyny, transphobia and bullying.
Notably, from 2013 Belfield worked as a freelance writer for right-leaning tabloids including The Sun, Sun on Sunday, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Sunday People and Daily Star.
In 2017 alone he secured three front-page exclusives and over 100 page-lead stories in the national press.
These same newspapers, whose editorial lines frequently matched his populist views on media, immigration and culture, paid him for his contributions.
In August 2022, after a five-week trial at Nottingham Crown Court, Belfield was convicted on four stalking charges (2012–2021).
He was found guilty of stalking Jeremy Vine, described in court as an “avalanche of hatred” involving relentless abusive videos, emails, social media and incitement of followers, as well as Bernard Spedding (BBC Radio Northampton), Ben Hewis (videographer) for causing serious alarm/distress, and Philip Dehany on a lesser “simple stalking” charge.
He was acquitted on more serious stalking charges against several former BBC women, but the judge noted he had run a “personal campaign of revenge” against them causing psychological harm. Victims described sustained online and offline harassment.
In September 2022 he was sentenced to 5 years and 26 weeks in prison, with indefinite restraining orders. Jeremy Vine called him “the Jimmy Savile of trolling.”
Belfield has expressed admiration for Nigel Farage and Reform UK’s general stance. He was released on licence in June 2025 after serving roughly half his sentence.
While on licence, he planned to attend a Reform UK conference specifically “to see Nigel Farage,” but probation officers banned him from going, warning it would breach his licence conditions and send him back to prison. Belfield made videos complaining about this. He was recalled to prison in February 2026 for breaching licence conditions, including making YouTube videos repeating claims about his case. He is expected to remain incarcerated until around 2027.
The Dehany civil case arose from harassment between late 2019 and early 2021, after Dehany criticised Belfield’s behaviour. This included abusive videos, contact with Dehany’s mother, and other actions. Belfield has settled civil claims with some other victims (e.g. Jeremy Vine) but contested Dehany’s.
In short, Belfield rose as a populist anti-BBC Culture Wars YouTuber and tabloid contributor whose right-wing cultural commentary overlapped with certain billionaire-owned national newspapers, but he is now primarily known for his criminal stalking convictions and ongoing legal consequences.
He and his supporters maintain it was a politically motivated “witch-hunt,” while courts and victims have detailed a sustained campaign of targeted online-enabled abuse.

Today, Alex Belfield has been jailed for five years & 26 weeks for stalking broadcasters & subjecting his victims to an “avalanche of hatred”. It's interesting that certain national "newspapers" - including the Sun, Mail, & Express - paid him for numerous stories.

A little over three years ago my dad and I were confirmed and received into the Holy Catholic Church at the @UKOrdinariate in London.
Now I cannot visit that church anymore, because I got banned from the UK for criticizing Starmer.
What a time we live in.
