@GSmackdownmac @Apexpatrick @sarobertsonca When the feds jumped in it was up to 7.4 B which is along way from 35 Billion. Ask anyone who worked on it why it became so expensive. The same thing will happen with this rail project. BTW Trudeau promised the profits of $110 M to green projects is that being done?

Pierre Poilievre on the Toronto–Quebec City High-Speed Rail Network: "Conservatives oppose the $90b Liberal-Alto train ... a future Conservative government will cancel this $90b boondoggle altogether."

@PupLundell @Silver19462 @CheriDiNovo The federal government was paying for a very inefficient unreliable ferry service that the bridge replaced. The math at the time proved that the bridge would be a cheaper better option. The recent toll lowering and subsequent money exchange involved the usual liberal corruption

@RETUMBOJONES @Silver19462 @CheriDiNovo Did not the Federal Government pay for the bridge and then a contract was awarded for a company to maintain the bridge and collect fees for the use of the bridge. When the government lowered the tolls on the bridge did they not subsidize the company so it would still make money?

Poilievre wants to cancel the high speed Toronto to Quebec City rail. We should suggest (on his dime) he spend some time in Europe where rail takes you everywhere and public transit is taken by the wealthy because it's faster, cleaner, greener and cheaper. Tory governments are the reason we're decades behind the world.

Even if we had a thousand pipelines, conservatives would never support a dedicated high-speed electric rail line between Calgary and Edmonton, or between Quebec City and Toronto. More trains would simply mean less fossil fuel consumption. You guys don’t even support your own Alberta company that built the compostable straws used by the Booster Juice corporation. The truth is, we need engineers from Japan and South Korea to ensure the project is built on time and under budget and we should ignore conservatives
Jason Kenney 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱@jkenney

Absolutely right. How about we build some pipelines first so we can afford luxuries like this?

👀 UNHINGED: Desperation is beginning to show from the federal Liberals as MP @NathalieProvost and Safety Minister @Gary_SRP announce truly dismal participation numbers (only 51,000 declarations) with only a week to go in the failed gun confiscation program. Q&A starts @ 4:38 👇

@TraceyKent The SKS is not banned? This gun was actually used in wars by communists. Many of the ones imported were actually surplus after use in battle yet the liberals don’t have an issue with that and are banning.22. This country is run by the mentally deranged.

Rookie MP Provost pushes away the Min of Public Safety to take the microphone. She goes on a long rant against the ‘gun lobby’ & misinformation. Then repeats a lie about this program now taking away AR-15’s (it’s not) She is unhinged in her rhetoric

So far I’ve seen several news outlets reporting on this non story. Is this meant for us to feel bad for someone who didn’t purchase travel insurance? And this has happened countless times, why are they cherry picking this one to share?

@dsimieritsch @Reil76 Yes this has by going on for years. I’ve seen the same job posted for 5 years. Maybe it’s time for employers to start training employees again instead of posting jobs for unicorns.

Businesses list jobs then intentionally not hire someone so they can bring in a temporary foreign worker. Jobs have to sit empty for a period of time before they qualify. These businesses don't want to hire a Canadian at market rate they want to take advantage of south Asians at below market rate.

🚨 🚨 Ok folks, let’s see the spin on this. Every day we hear the same thing. “There are no jobs in Canada.” “Our kids can’t get jobs.” “The economy is collapsing.” But here’s something you don’t hear as often. There are currently over 514,000 job vacancies across Canada. That means more than half a million positions employers are actively trying to fill. So how can both things be true at the same time? If there are supposedly “no jobs,” why are there over half a million open positions? Are people unwilling to work certain jobs? Are wages too low? Are skills not matching the jobs available? Maybe the real conversation shouldn’t just be “there are no jobs.” Maybe it should be why so many jobs are sitting empty while people say they can’t find work.

Back to explain again to people who love to rage bait things. Canada didn’t exactly lose 84,000 jobs in February. People see numbers and don’t look into details.
