@NKhan212 My guess is chaperone or some nucleic acid modifying complex. The central channel is huge, about 40A. And it is not a membrane protein

Btw, if anyone can figure out what the protein on the right does (Uniprot Q8U0N8) then let me know! It has been haunting me for months

Hey #cryoEM Tweeps, we’ve been getting this contaminant (40kDa band SDS-PAGE). It’s from @thermofisher ExpiSf9 insect cells, binds Co-NTA resin and runs as a ~200kDa on gel filtration. It looks like this. Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it?
