In 2020 I thought we’d have a long-term vaccine for 2-3 major Covid variants by 2025. Masks would be commonplace. What’s actually happening is why my brain feels broken.

Abortion laws with gestational limits and other restrictions are based on the idea that we need policing to keep "the wrong people" from "misusing" abortion services. That is some patriarchal bullshit. The path to true health and safety requires decriminalizing abortion.

There's a reason why the World Health Organization has come out against all gestational limits on abortion care. They restrict essential healthcare, and the impact falls disproportionately on the most vulnerable.

Forcing people under the age of 18 to be pregnant against their will is truly depraved.

As @JessicaValenti says, abortion bans are designed to kill. So WHY are we compromising with these people?? Decriminalizing abortion completely is the floor. And it's what we urgently need to dig ourselves out of this nightmare.
