Ongoing now: A Workshop for User Acceptance Test (UAT) & Users Training of the developed Rwanda Research & Innovation online Repository. The main objective is to train users on the use and operationalization of the repository, gather final feedback and inputs before Go-Live.

This served as an opportunity to: ✅ Present the developed draft strategy documents to key stakeholders involved in the national innovation system. ✅ Gather inputs,comments to inform the final versions of the strategy documents ✅ Validate the developed draft strategy documents.

Today,we conducted a validation workshop for the cascaded Technology Transfer & Commercialization strategies of @Uni_Rwanda, @RwandaPolytec, @RwandaAgriBoard under “Strengthening Rwanda’s Research & Innovation Ecosystem through Training, Coordination, and Collaboration” project.

Objectives of the training: Develop an action plan for transferring a technology (intellectual property) from the lab to the market;gain an overview of the technology transfer process; &understand the fundamentals of technology identification,assessment, protection,and maturation

Today, a workshop on technology transfer kicked off, bringing together stakeholders from various institutions that play key roles in the National Innovation System — including researchers, innovators, and other key actors in the innovation ecosystem.

Today, we held the 2nd workshop to develop data collection tool and pre-training situational analysis. This information will be useful in developing the training modules for the planned trainings about innovation ecosystem, as one of our key project deliverables. #Innovation

He said, " For Rwanda to sustain its social and economic growth agenda, and achieve Vision 2050 targets, there is a critical need to strengthen human resource capacity for research output toward commercialization stage and boost industrial growth". @TheRISAFund @cessnk

This project will be implemented jointly by @Uni_Rwanda and @ScienceTechRw . The Executive Secretary of @ScienceTechRw @emutimura noted that this program will contribute to Rwanda’s Vision 2050 to achieve economic prosperity, and improve the quality of life for Rwandans.

VC @mdkayihura urged participants to leverage on collaboration journey that started some months ago with the development of the National Strategy for Technology Transfer & Commercialization and initiation of the scaling of 4 innovative projects towards commercialization

In his remarks, @Uni_Rwanda Vice Chancellor @mdkayihura highlighted that the objectives that this project aspires to achieve 'fit well with the mandate of our respective institutions here present, be the Higher Learning Institutions,Ministries,Government agencies& private sector'
