@mateosfo obviously, that includes all housing units and not everything vacant is able to be available, but the apartment list number should only be viewed consistent with itself, not numbers from other sources with different methodologies

For the last ~ 8 years, socialists in both San Francisco and Los Angeles have promoted the fake findings of a fraudulent report that claimed most new homes in those cities are vacant & being held by evil investors/speculators.

The “minimum” rent for a livable place in NYC is still way too high but more reasonable ~1.5k with a roommate outside of Manhattan ~2k for a studio outside of Manhattan ~2k with a roommate in Manhattan ~2.5k for a studio in Manhattan

@mateosfo Except this 2.2% number isnt from the census (who I agree would be accurate) but rather from Apartment List, and their website says they use data from their platform as a big part of how they calculate vacancy
