I congratulate H.E. Mr Rumen Radev on his historic victory in the recently held Parliamentary elections in Bulgaria. Pakistan values its cordial and friendly relations with Bulgaria and looks forward to working closely with the newly elected Bulgarian Government to further strengthen our bilateral ties in the days ahead.

Thank you Senior Advisor Massad Boulos. I recall with great pleasure our warm and cordial meeting on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where we exchanged views on the regional situation as well as on Pak-U.S. relations.

Congratulations Pakistan on another milestone achievement in Aviation sector. After a long suspension of about 5 years, Fly Jinnah is starting Double Daily flights between Lahore and- Islamabad from 01 May 2026. It will a great relief for all commuters particularly Lawyers, Businessmen, Patients and elderly people. The commencement of these flights will also support Government austerity measures in terms of Fuel saving and road traffic in addition to time saving for professionals. Government will continue to encourage Air connectivity between all cities in Pakistan as well as International destinations. PIA and all Pakistani ailrines are expanding their fleets to provide Safe and efficient Air Transport to passengers. Best wishes to all Pakistani airlines.

The situation as it stands at 1930 PST 1. Formal response from Iranian side about confirmation of delegation to attend Islamabad Peace Talks is still awaited. 2. ⁠Pakistan as the mediator is in constant touch with Iranians and pursuing the path of diplomacy and dialogue. 3. Ceasefire ends at 4:50 am PST, 22 April. Decision from Iran to attend the talks before the end of two weeks ceasefire is critical. 4. ⁠Pakistan has made sincere efforts to convince the Iranian leadership to participate in the second round of talks and these efforts continue.

On my personal behalf and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I sincerely thank President Trump for graciously accepting our request to extend the ceasefire to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course. With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for negotiated settlement of conflict. Received a warm call from Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom, this evening. Appreciate his support for Pakistan’s sincere diplomatic efforts that helped facilitate the Iran–U.S. ceasefire and advance dialogue. I also welcome the joint statement by key European and international leaders, including PM Starmer, endorsing our peace initiatives. We agreed on the importance of sustaining the ceasefire to create the conditions for lasting peace and stability in the region. Also discussed ways to further strengthen Pakistan–UK relations across all areas of mutual interest. I look forward to welcoming PM Starmer to Pakistan. @Keir_Starmer
