Joined Foreign Ministers from over 40 countries in today’s high-level call on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, initiated and chaired by UK Foreign Secretary @YvetteCooperMP. Disruptions in the Strait are not confined to the region; they affect global supply chains, energy markets and economic stability, including in countries like ours. Kosova reaffirms its commitment to freedom of navigation and the protection of civilian shipping and we condemn Iran's attacks that have undermined these principles. In line with our partners, I join in calling for the safe reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. International action remains essential. A positive and productive meeting today with President @EmmanuelMacron at the Élysée Palace in Paris. We discussed security, EU integration, and reforms, with Kosova fully aligned with EU foreign policy, as well as expanding cooperation in education, investment, and trade. On 24 March, the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims is observed. The right to the truth is often invoked in the context of gross violations of human rights and grave breaches of humanitarian law.

Had a substantive phone call with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy PM and Minister of @mofauae. Kosova strongly condemns Iran’s continued missile and drone attacks against partner states in the Gulf. Such actions endanger civilian lives and undermine regional stability. Kosova stands in full solidarity with the UAE. I also thanked @OFMUAE for his warm congratulations on my appointment and invitation to visit, and expressed appreciation for 🇦🇪’s longstanding support to 🇽🇰. I look forward to further strengthening our partnership.

We welcome today’s confirmation by the @EU_Commission at the @EP_ForeignAff Committee: all EU measures on Kosova have been lifted and all previously suspended financial assistance has been released. We expect this to open a new phase of constructive engagement and concrete progress on our EU path. 🇽🇰🇪🇺

We welcome the decision of @EU_CoR to discontinue the use of “Kosovo*” and its accompanying footnote in its public documents. I strongly condemn the Iranian regime’s attacks against U.S. military bases and our partner countries in the Middle East. Today’s strikes on civilian areas in Jerusalem, which killed at least 9 people, as well as the indiscriminate attacks targeting commercial and residential areas in the United Arab Emirates, demonstrate a reckless disregard for innocent lives and regional stability. Kosova stands firmly with our American allies and our partners in the region against actions that threaten peace, security, and international stability.
