Excuse the language but @thejuicemedia break it down why the govt’s proposed changes to electoral laws needs closer scrutiny to ensure they strengthen not weaken our democracy. Without a doubt this legislation should not be rushed thru and must be referred for a Senate Inquiry

When is a Cathoic Priest not employed as a Catholic Priest? According to the High Court they're never employed, not during holy communion, preaching from the altar, hearing confession, receiving jobkeeper and especially not when they're raping kids.

@bradpsychology I think this is a good show for understanding what’s happening with the broader media. People you would expect to have at least a contrarian view are subsumed by this omnipresent shallow narrative. The media *is* the problem, not the defence we need.

@RobSanders56 Online and direct sales are our market. Unless you have a huge existing audience, it’s just not worth chasing razor thin margins in stores where you can afford to drive people inside to buy your book.

Indie bookshops and indie authors should be a great combination. Sadly, this is not so. As an aside I now have a larger-than-expected stock of signed paperbacks.

@RobSanders56 Nah. That’s the wrong way of looking at bookselling. Indie bookstores still need massive margins to meet their costs. They can be more selective on content, but they atill need to hold stuff that will sell to their broadest audience. Any space for your book, means less for others

Day by day I see people leaving this platform. It really has turned to shit because of Musk and wank stain MAGA’s. But I’ve been on Twitter since 2007 so it’s hard to break away from here. I still have a soft spot for it. I’ve met so many awesome people here.
