@USEmbassySA @BrentBozell South Africa has a problem with the US bombing an elementary school in Iran and killing about 160 children and their teachers.
South Africa has a problem with the US supplying military aid to a country that is committing unspeakable atrocities in the Middle East, including a genocide.
South Africa has a problem with the gun violence in America, which has claimed the lives of elementary school children. This violence is perpetrated by people who can buy a gun at a convenience store without checks and balances, because US law allows it.
South Africa has a problem with the reversal of Roe V Wade, which has denied women their reproductive rights and criminalised even medically recommended termination.
South Africa has a problem with voter suppression which denies mainly Black and poor voters their democratic rights.
South Africa has a problem with a US president initiating a rebellion against an election outcome. This included the storming of the Capitol, wherein the SON of THIS Ambassador to South Africa, participated and was convicted as a felon in that crime.
South Africa has a problem with Africa's debt crisis that has been created by US-led Western institutions.
South Africa has a problem with the UN Security Council and its resistance to reform. Resistance led mainly, by the USA.
There are MORE problems but I have to go do my nails.

Manager: I wanted to talk to you about the promotion. You turned it down?
Gen Z: Yeah, I did.
Manager: Can I ask why? It’s a great opportunity.
Gen Z: Honestly, I just want to do my job and go home.
Manager: That’s it?
Gen Z: Pretty much.
Manager: But this is how you grow. More responsibility, more visibility, more money.
Gen Z: And more meetings, more stress, and more micromanaging adults who should already know how to act.
Manager: That’s a very cynical way to look at leadership.
Gen Z: It’s a very accurate way to look at leadership.
Manager: You really don’t want to climb the corporate ladder?
Gen Z: Not if the prize is spending my day in a thousand meetings explaining basic things to grown people.
Manager: Most people would be excited by a lucrative promotion.
Gen Z : I like lucrative. I just don’t like the part where my whole personality has to become calendar invites and follow-ups.
Manager: I’m honestly surprised.
Gen Z: I know. You expected ambition.
Manager: And you’re saying you have none?
Gen Z: No, I have ambition. It just ends at doing good work, getting paid well, and protecting my peace.

China is a superpower with world-class infrastructure, yet you never see its neighbors demanding open borders or claiming to be one people to infiltrate its economy.
In Asia, a neighbor's success triggers competition, not a migration crisis.
When Vietnam sees China or South Korea winning, the response isn't "let us in," it's "how do we build our own?"
They prioritize national development over regional dependence.
This stands in stark contrast to the dependency syndrome seen in parts of Africa, where functional economies are often pressured to dissolve borders under the guise of pan-Africanism.
While Asia defines itself by sovereignty and distinction, many regional movements elsewhere prioritize assimilation over self-sufficiency.
Asia isn't building a borderless union, it's a network of sovereign competitors. Africa has a lot to learn from Asia.

How does it work that an individual found guilty of #gross_misconduct was terminated as Minister, only to take a four-month 'rest' before resurfacing as Deputy Chief Whip with a salary of nearly R2 million?🤔
How can someone guilty of misconduct be entrusted with lawmaking responsibilities?
@MbalulaFikile please, do you have any idea? We could be missing crucial information here.

The drama began when a leaked document revealed that SETA board chair positions, critical for youth skills development were being filled by political insiders. Most notably Buyambo Mantashe (son of Gwede Mantashe) and the Minister’s own advisor.
When questioned Nkabane’s first move was defiance. She claimed an "independent panel" led by Advocate Terry Motau handled the vetting. She spoke with absolute certainty, dismissing concerns as mere noise.
The arrogance backfired when she was forced to name the panel. Not only was it filled with her own department staff, but Advocate Terry Motau publicly corrected the record. He never chaired the meeting. He wasn't even there. She had used a respected legal name to shield a political appointment.
The height of the tension came when the EFF’s @SihleLonzi refused to be silenced. When he questioned why Mantashe’s son was prioritized over millions of unemployed youth, he was met with institutional walls. His forced removal from the chamber by security remains a symbol of this saga’s volatility.
Despite the Ethics Committee’s findings, the ANC’s top brass stepped in. SG @MbalulaFikile defended her, claiming that because she eventually corrected the record (after being caught), there was no "intent to mislead." They characterized a structural lie as a simple clerical error.
President Ramaphosa fired her, and the Ethics Committee condemned her. Yet, in a move that stunned many, the ANC subsequently appointed her as the Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament. She moved from being scrutinized by the house to helping lead it.
