We are delighted to announce that Vice Admiral Andrew Burns, the current Fleet Commander, has taken over as President of the RNBWS. He has been a member of the Society for many years, and we are most grateful for his support. He takes over from Vice Admiral Sir David Dobson.

On the 5 Sep we reported a Waved Albatross being cared for by Luis and his team in Lima, Peru 🇵🇪. We are very pleased to say the bird was released mid-September, after recovering from a broken wing. Well done to Luis for helping this incredible bird! @Acap_birds#Albatross

Last month, with HMS Protector in Lima, Peru 🇵🇪, Ship’s Company had the chance to visit the ‘Ringed Storm Petrel Project’ and learn about their fantastic work. They also saw a magnificent Winged Albatross, currently being nursed back to health! @Acap_birds@TheSeabirdGroup
