@FGaitho237 Mavuno fertilizer is quality slow release fertilizer that takes time to dissolve. It also contains calcium ; the white material that is not meant to dissolve but to neutralise acidity over time. Don't use water solubility test alone. Take it to a reputable lab for testing

We tested the Mavuno Fertilizer packages by Maisha Minerals & Fertilizer Limited, a subsidiary of Devki Limited, by soaking it inside water. After three (3) days it has not dissolved one bit. After @Cynthia_Gichiri @AfUncensored sought comment from @KEBS_ke , their MD says they took 59 samples of SBL/GPC organic fertilizer from @NCPB_KE depots across Kenya and tested them. Not even one sample turned out to be organic fertilizer. NOT. EVEN. ONE. SAMPLE. This product has been on NCPB shelves since the middle of 2022. Joe Kariuki claimed he sold 800K bags. BTW, for our neighbours, this same product is sold in Tanzania as well.

In case you missed it yesterday on @ntvkenya here’s both parts of our investigation led by @Cynthia_Gichiri . We didn’t just film secretly where the fertilizer was being packed. We got samples from different NCPB locations in Kenya and had them tested by two different laboratories. Both came back with the same results as seen in the documentary. We began sending out requests for comment in JANUARY. @KEBS_ke had not responded until the trailer for the series was out on Thursday. We didn’t get an official response until Saturday afternoon when I spoke with the MD, Esther Ngari. The KEBS response is quite something. @AfUncensored will be publishing a thread on it shortly. This is regrettable and you can say misleading as they say it's affordable to mean subsidized
