În urmă cu patru ani, unul dintre cele mai teribile scenarii pentru Europa devenea realitate. Rusia a atacat Ucraina, declanșând un război fără milă împotriva unei națiuni care a refuzat să se lase înfrântă. De atunci, Ucraina luptă pentru noi toți și menține securitatea întregului nostru continent, cu un curaj și o rezistență admirabile. Familii destrămate, drame inimaginabile, vieți pierdute, toate acestea reprezintă sacrificii și eforturi uriașe, pentru care suntem recunoscători poporului ucrainean. România va sprijini Ucraina oricât timp este necesar. Împreună cu partenerii noștri din Uniunea Europeană, susținem că negocierile pentru încheierea războiului trebuie să continue până când se vor îndeplini condițiile pentru o pace justă, cu garanţii de securitate care să prevină posibilitatea oricărui nou conflict. Pacea în Ucraina înseamnă pace pentru Europa. Oricine amenință cetățenii noștri trebuie să știe că forța noastră stă în unitate. Iar Uniunea Europeană devine tot mai puternică și mai solidară. Pentru a marca patru ani de la lansarea invaziei Rusiei împotriva Ucrainei, Palatul Cotroceni va fi iluminat în culorile drapelului ucrainean.

Today we mark 167 years since the Union of the Romanian Principalities, a milestone that laid the foundations of modern 🇷🇴 Romania. This historic act of national unity combined popular aspirations and solidarity with political action. It marked the beginning of transformative reforms, indelibly anchoring through institutions, commerce and ideas Romania in the European family. The Union is also the modern cornerstone for Romania’s European diplomacy that continues to inspire our work and commitment for the prosperity and security of our citizens.

Today in Vienna I had a substantial meeting with Chancellor @_CStocker. We agreed to deepen our cooperation in energy, connectivity, and investment, with Austria remaining a key economic partner for Romania. I underlined the important role of the Romanian community in Austria. We also discussed regional security. Thank you, Chancellor! We’ll continue this dialogue in Bucharest.

Gemeinsam mit der Universität #Bukarest und der #Theresianischen #Akademie Wien haben wir 185 Jahre seit der Geburt von Titu Maiorescu gefeiert. Enthüllt wurde die restaurierte Gedenktafel im Hof der Akademie, die #TituMaiorescu 1858 als Jahrgangsbester absolvierte.

Rumänien wurde in Samarkand in den Exekutivrat der @UNESCO für die Amtszeit 2025–2029 gewählt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an unsere 🇷🇴 Kolleginnen und Kollegen! 👏👏 @SMiculescu
