On the occasion of Pakistan Day (23 March), @ROinPakistan announces the historic launch of the first-ever choral arrangement and score of Pakistan’s national anthem, Qaumi Tarana 🇵🇰🇷🇴 Realized by the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” with the support of the Embassy, this unique cultural project represents a true musical milestone 🎶✨ For the first time, a fully notated choral score has been created for an anthem originally conceived as an orchestral composition—requiring a complete rethinking of how its rich musical language could be expressed through human voices alone. The process involved significant artistic and technical challenges 🎼 With its wide tonal range, complex harmonic structure, and continuously evolving musical phrasing, the anthem does not naturally lend itself to choral adaptation. The team carefully redistributed orchestral elements across soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices, ensuring both musical balance and vocal feasibility. Special attention was also given to the precise articulation of the highly Persianized Urdu lyrics in a choral setting. Cea mai mare expoziție din Europa dedicată lui Constantin Brâncuși, la 150 de ani de la nașterea marelui sculptor român, s-a deschis ieri la Berlin la Neue Nationalgalerie. Sunt bucuros că, alături de Președintele Germaniei, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, și de Președintele Franței, Emmanuel Macron, am oferit patronajul unui eveniment care arată că valorile culturale autentice ne apropie și ne unesc. Expoziția, realizată în colaborare cu Centre Pompidou, beneficiază, de asemenea, de sprijin instituțional din partea Ambasadei României în Republica Federală Germania și a Institutului Cultural Român, prin Institutul Cultural Român „Titu Maiorescu” din Berlin. Pentru România, acest moment înseamnă mai mult decât un eveniment cultural. Este o recunoaștere a valorii noastre, a identității noastre și a contribuției pe care am adus-o lumii prin una dintre personalitățile care au marcat arta modernă în secolul XX. Reunind peste 150 de lucrări – sculpturi, fotografii, filme și documente de arhivă – aceasta propune o perspectivă amplă asupra operei lui Brâncuși și a influenței sale asupra modernismului european. Publicul poate descoperi atât lucrări emblematice, precum „Sărutul”, „Muza adormită” sau „Pasărea în spațiu”, cât și o reconstrucție parțială a atelierului său parizian de pe Impasse Ronsin. O altǎ expoziție dedicatǎ anului Brâncuși, aflată sub Înaltul Patronaj al președinților României și Italiei, poate fi vǎzutǎ pânǎ pe 19 iulie la Roma, la Muzeul Mercati di Traiano. Expoziția „Constantin Brâncuși: Originile infinitului” este curatoriată de Muzeul Național de Artă al României, în parteneriat cu Muzeul Național de Artă din Craiova și Muzeul Județean Gorj „Alexandru Ștefulescu” și face parte din calendarul Anului Cultural România – Italia 2026. Cetǎțenii români și moldoveni au accesul gratuit. Felicit ambasadele României de la Paris, Berlin și Roma pentru implicare și efortul de a organiza aceste expoziții care cresc vizibilitatea României în Europa și vǎ invit să descoperiți această moștenire europeană pe care Constantin Brâncuși ne-a lăsat-o tuturor.

Astăzi, 10 martie, Ambasada României la Islamabad, cu sprijinul autorităților pakistaneze, a finalizat o complexă acțiune de repatriere a unui grup de cinci cetățeni români aflați în zonele montane din nordul Pakistanului. Misiunea diplomatică a fost notificată cu privire la prezența celor cinci cetățeni români în Valea Hushé (Gilgit-Baltistan), într-o zonă izolată a munților Karakoram, caracterizată prin altitudini ce depășesc 7.000 de metri și care prezintă la acest moment o sensibilitate sporită din punct de vedere al securității. În contextul evoluțiilor regionale recente și al deteriorării situației de securitate din zonă, atât din cauza conflictului din Orientul Mijlociu cât şi din cauza problemelor securitare de la granița dintre Pakistan şi Afganistan, evacuarea lor a devenit prioritară. Cei cinci cetățeni români au intrat în Pakistan la data de 24 februarie a.c. și au contactat recent Ambasada României la Islamabad, solicitând sprijin pentru extragerea din zonă și repatriere, fără ca misiunea să fi fost informată anterior despre prezența lor în regiune. Ambasada, cu sprijinul autorităților din Gilgit-Baltistan, al poliției locale și al reprezentanților armatei pakistaneze, a reușit localizarea și evacuarea acestora pe ruta Valea Hushé – Gilgit – Islamabad, într-o operațiune logistică și de securitate care a durat peste 48 de ore. Grupul de cetățeni români a fost ulterior îmbarcat în siguranță pe ruta Islamabad – Istanbul, aflându-se în prezent în drum spre Cluj-Napoca. Doresc să mulțumesc autorităților locale, poliției și armatei pakistaneze pentru sprijinul prompt, profesionist și pentru cooperarea excelentă acordată cetățenilor români și Ambasadei României în această situație. Mulțumiri speciale se îndreaptă și către echipa consulară a misiunii noastre diplomatice, care a acționat, ca de fiecare dată, cu responsabilitate și profesionalism. Totodată, recomand cetățenilor români aflați în Pakistan să consulte cu mare atenție alertele de călătorie ale Ministerului Afacerilor Externe, să urmărească evoluțiile locale și să respecte măsuri sporite de siguranță personală: să fie vigilenți, să evite zonele aglomerate și să se asigure că sunt înregistrați la Ambasada României la Islamabad. From the bustling streets of Karachi and Lahore to the serene valleys of the north, Pakistani women continue to inspire with their courage, resilience, and unwavering determination. Teachers shaping young minds, doctors healing communities, entrepreneurs building brighter futures, diplomats shaping policies, activists and journalists courageously advocating for justice, mothers and daughters quietly holding families and society together - you are the true architects of progress. Your perseverance in education, sports, politics, business, and beyond is transforming Pakistan and lighting the path for future generations. During my time in Pakistan, I have had the privilege of meeting many remarkable Pakistani women-diplomats, entrepreneurs, teachers, artists, journalists, students, and community leaders. In every conversation, I have been deeply inspired by their intelligence, strength, and commitment to building a better future for their families and communities. Pakistani women contribute every day to the strength of this nation-sometimes in the spotlight, often behind the scenes, but always with dedication and courage. Today, at the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad 🇷🇴, I received, for a constructive meeting, Honorable Mr. Muhammad Awn Chaudhry, Minister of State, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development 🇵🇰, to discuss strengthening cooperation between Romania and Pakistan in the field of labour mobility 🤝. Our exchange focused on promoting skilled and orderly temporary labour migration, grounded in transparency, mutual benefit, and full respect for national legislation 📜. Romania welcomes qualified professionals who respond to concrete labour market needs and who contribute responsibly and legally to our economy 👷‍♂️👩‍💼. At the same time, I emphasized that visa issuance is a regulated process, carried out in accordance with national legislation and established conditions 🛂. Migration frameworks must remain well-regulated, predictable, and aligned with the temporary nature of labour mobility schemes ⚖️. Romania is not a destination country for permanent migration 🚫. Our cooperation in this area is designed to facilitate temporary, skills-based mobility, after which we expect workers to return home with enhanced experience and expertise 🎓. We strongly believe that the knowledge, skills, and savings gained abroad can play a valuable role in supporting the sustainable development of Pakistan 📈. In other words, it is also a way to support Pakistan in a mutually beneficial manner 🤝. Romania stands ready to work closely with the Pakistani authorities to identify the most effective and responsible mechanisms for cooperation — including improved information exchange, pre-departure preparation, safeguards against irregular migration, and firm action against abuses committed by certain manpower agencies 🛡️. By working together in a spirit of trust and partnership, we can ensure that labour mobility remains safe, legal, and mutually beneficial 🌍. Today we mark four years since the beginning of Russia’s latest attack on Ukraine. 🇺🇦🕊️ We must be clear: this is not a so-called “Ukrainian crisis,” but a blatant act of aggression and an international armed conflict initiated by the Russian Federation. 🚫⚔️ Since the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the full-scale invasion launched on 24 February 2022, Russia has flagrantly violated Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and the fundamental norms of international law. 📜❗ The international community has unequivocally identified Russia as the aggressor, including through UN General Assembly resolutions such as Resolution 68/262 on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Resolution ES-11/1 condemning the aggression against Ukraine. 🌍🗳️ Ukraine is exercising its inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter in response to Russia’s armed attack. 🛡️ Russia’s war has led to grave violations of international humanitarian law, including the unlawful deportation and forced transfer of thousands of Ukrainian children. 👶⚖️ Romania has consistently and unequivocally condemned Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. 🇷🇴🤝🇺🇦 As a neighbouring state and a member of the EU and NATO, Romania firmly supports Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. 🇪🇺🛡️ Romania has provided substantial humanitarian, political, and logistical assistance to Ukraine, facilitated the transit of millions of tonnes of Ukrainian grain, supported EU sanctions against Russia, and advocated for accountability for war crimes and full reparations for the damage caused by the aggression. 🌾🚛⚖️ @oana_toiu @PdCMAERO @MAERomania @MFA_Ukraine @ForeignOfficePk @EUPakistan @eu_eeas
