Elon Musk took over Twitter, ridiculously changing its name to the single letter of the alphabet most associated with pornography, adjusted the algorithm away from the Left’s preferences, but then opened the door to AI slop, ever increasing misinformation, and raging antisemitism. On a daily basis, accounts drop AI generated videos seeking to mislead people. Tel Aviv has been leveled by Iran two dozen times in the past four weeks and anything that offends the Left is a genocide. Insanity runs rampant. People who want to be informed are, instead, misled. Twitter has been exploited by monetized accounts seeking profit from outrage and by misinformation campaigns seeking to undermine a war effort against the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism. In a hyper-online age, people have lost the ability to discern what is true. They too often rely on influencers on the internet who often have an incentive to keep people whipped into existential terror and lie. They claim some special gnostic insight that you can only determine by following those people. From QAnon to Charlie Kirk conspiracies, they promise you access to special knowledge. ewerickson.substack.com/p/addled-brains

Ah that’s exactly what we need. The terrorist Pakistani government negotiating an end to a war with another Islamic terrorist regime. This is the same Pakistan whose citizens stormed the US consulates in Pakistan weeks ago, where they attempted to murder American consulate employees. Pakistan is a terrorist state. They just threatened to nuke India last week.
Shehbaz Sharif@CMShehbaz

Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the WAR in Middle East, in the interest of peace and stability in region and beyond. Subject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict. @realDonaldTrump @SteveWitkoff @araghchi

BREAKING : Trump & Netanyahu are exposed Journalist : How are you sure about Iran not building nukes? Joe Kent 🇺🇸: "America's 18 intelligence agencies, all agreed that Iran had no capacity to develop a nuclear bomb" 🤯 "But that Israel was telling us that they would be able to assemble ten bombs in two weeks" This man has got so much courage on his side. In January, I was the loudest voice on X criticizing the Iranian regime. Result? All regime supporters flooded my comments calling me a ‘zionist’ and an ‘Israeli asset’ Now, as I criticize this war (I’ve always been anti-war), some pro Israeli hawks voices are labeling me a ‘regime sympathizer’ The same happened during the Gaza war: I got called both a zionist and an anti semite, and received death threats from both sides Here’s my stance so you don’t have to guess: - Very critical of the Iranian regime. What they did in January was horrific - The current war is a mistake, and if the objective is regime change, then I am very worried about Iran’s future as risks of civil war increase - I am very critical of what Israel did in Gaza and the West Bank, and more nuanced on their attacks on Hezbollah and Iran - I believe Hezbollah should be disarmed - The U.S. objective in this war is control of the Strait of Hormuz, to beat China in the AI race. I’ve always said I want the U.S. to win the AI arms race, as I do not want to live in a world where AI is controlled by an autocracy - As an Australian citizen, I am a believer in our democratic way of life and have always been critical of anyone threatening democracies (EU, Brazil, Pakistan). But this does not mean I support the various interest groups pushing our world into endless wars - As the son of a religious Christian family, I respect all religions, but don’t think religion should ever justify wars Did I miss anything?
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

Why am I against this war? As someone who's been EXTREMELY critical of the Iranian regime, so much so I was labeled 'zio' by many, I've always advocated AGAINST regime change through military means The reason is simple: In over 100 years, there's been ZERO successful regime change operations without boots on the ground And we're seeing this play out right now: The Iranian regime's grip on power has strengthened under bombardment, and they've become even more brutal in suppressing dissent If the U.S. conducted a very limited military operation to give Iranians the chance to bring down the regime, then maybe I would have been supportive (assuming the country does not descend into civil war) But seeing Iran get bombed daily, Israel and the region get attacked, U.S. troops die, and the global economy cater... this is not what I envisaged for 2026. I want the U.S. to win against China I want the regime to fall I want Iran to be a democracy I want Hezbollah's military arm gone I want Lebanon and Iran to normalize with Israel But a prolonged war with Iran is NOT the way to achieve any of these goals

This is insane. Regime change will result in a bloody civil war, killing hundreds of thousands and creating another massive Muslim refugee crisis. Topping a leader is NEVER as easy you think. It almost always results in further involvement, a civil war, and chaos. Resist this!

Earlier this week, there seemed to be a great freak out from the woke right. They doubled down defending Steve Bannon, attacking anyone who questioned Joe Kent, etc. I think, after seeing nobody show up at the Catholics for Catholics event, the theory many of us had is true. These guys believed their own bullshit. They got convinced they were the majority. They built an echo chamber and got high on their own supply. They've used bots to amplify their reach, drive up viewer numbers, etc. Here comes the polling that MAGA supports the President, the public hates Iran, and the GOP opposes anti-semitism. Turns out their chief puppet master was Jeffrey Epstein's bestie. Also turns out they were not Trump's puppet masters as they presumed they were. Now they're lashing out. We've got the Steve Bannon defenses. We've got them trying to elevate Joe Kent, in what has clearly been coordinated with foreign media entities. And at the end of the day, what I need some of you to see is that it was never Qatar underwriting this. It is and has always been people in Russia. Alexander Dugin promoting all this stuff with the scientology freak in England sort of gives away the game.

@FmrRepMTG Trump really let me down, more than I thought he would, and it's a huge step back for the GOP. I hope his crazy team, who are feeding him bad info, gets some sense. This war wasn't necessary. We're so far from Iran, they were never a threat to the USA.

According to reports, Trump is preparing to send ground troops into Iran breaking a key covenant of MAGA, and a significant escalation in the Iran war. Never forget it was Trump who started Covid lockdowns with 15 days to slow the spread in 2020 while he was running Operation Warp Speed “for our safety.” If energy prices skyrocket and supply is strained, will Trump force us into an energy lockdown limiting our freedom to drive, travel, and use energy while he wages his war against Iran “for our safety”?

TRUMP: “I’m not afraid to put boots on the ground in Iran, even if it turns into another Vietnam.” When I say Trump wants to send your sons to die for Israel, I mean that he legitimately wants to send your sons into a meat grinder to die for the secular nation state of Israel.

This is why Trump should have avoided the performative shit posters for positions. We're taking out the world's #1 sponsor of terrorism, and the Director of Counterterrorism is upset about it. He'll be blaming Israel within hours (he already is!!) and go on Tucker shortly.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.
