Have been exploring way to build capacity around subitizing, we sprinkled a little magic by explaining that you can do a math magic trick by "counting with your eyes". Everyone has been loving trying their magic math skills, then counting in the 10 frame

An interesting part about the 1-8 curriculum is that it tells us what children will learn, but not how they must learn it! Let’s see this as an invitation to offer PLAY in all grades so that we ensure students learn and not just that teachers are covering!
