Very on brand for Chicago. Big Bill Sörbrand is a hit first, ask questions later winger. He's competitive as hell and will tear your head off for the puck. May work himself into a 4th line checking role if he works on his skating. #NHLDraft

Love this pick for Vancouver. Eriksson is a huge, rangey defenceman with great defensive instincts and a physical edge. Good mobility and hockey sense. He'll need a few years of seasoning to get there, but he projects well as a shutdown D. #NHLDraft

Sneaky smart pick here by Tampa. Anderberg has his "compete" dial turned to 11 every shift. There's a reason he played in the SHL all year. Fits the Lightning mould.

Apparently, they CAN keep getting away with it. Sörensson is a lightning quick, pesky, skilled forward who can play C and W. Looked amazing internationally and like a video game character in the Hockeytvåan. Serious steal potential. Smartest org in hockey keeps doing their thing.

With their second pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the #Canes have selected Wiggo Sorensson at #61 overall. He is the first player ever drafted from Sweden's fourth-tier league. The forward got a comparison to Buffalo's Zach Benson from the broadcast and was tabbed as "an agitator."

#NHLDraft Day 1 Winners: SJS. What a haul. GM Mike Grier is filling the cupboards with high end talent, setting the Sharks up for success for years to come. STL behind them with Lawrence, Dagenais and acquiring McTavish. Not my BPA at 16, but tidy work for the retooling Blues.

@GearshiftMike @mckeenshockey You do know I am a Swedish regional scout, right? I have seen Stenberg irl and countless times via video and written multiple pieces breaking down his game? You don't think that it's possible I just like his game more than McKenna's and I'm not pushing some agenda?

@OptimistPreds He's just not my cup of tea. Every viewing I had of him scared me to the point where I don't feel comfortable ranking him. He'll be gone long before I consider drafting him anyway. I don't know anyone in the NHL who plays like him and I think there's a reason for that.

@GearshiftMike @mckeenshockey Interesting, what makes you say that? You'll notice I have him in the same tier as McKenna, so for me there isn't much of a difference between the two. Just a question of what you value
