4/29（水）のCOMIC1☆28に参加いたします。（I20a 流星改に委託する形となります） 緊迫する国際情勢下にも関わらず、当日足を運んでくださる方のため、新刊を発行する…予定で鋭意製作続行中です。 今回は未成計画航空母艦に関する特集本となります。実際の建造着手にも至らなかった机上計画を検証。

@niffysix ゲームの空母戦記（9801）でそんな選択がありましたね。信濃（大和型）や大鳳のような装甲空母は艦上機戦力が拮抗していたミッドウェーをはじめとする昭和17年なら活躍できたのかな…とも感じます

大和が最初から空母だったら…? ミッドウェイで沈んでたんじゃないかな。もしくは載せる飛行機がなくなって他の空母や信濃と同じ運命(見かけた架空戦記動画のサムネ見ての暴論)。

@63E1Yx3F0D4EgHA 画像は第二波で魚雷数本が左舷命中後だと思われますが傾斜も有り、速力も落ちてるみたいで、この段階だと作戦断念しても帰還は無理かも。

@RX2662 後部副砲付近にくらった直撃弾の火災🔥が最期まで消えなかった…断念してれば、隼鷹みたく中破残存放置❓

損傷した大和のために佐世保の船渠では盤木組みの用意がされてたみたいですが、史実では被雷1だった第一次空襲で3～4本被雷して早期に作戦中止になったら引き返せたのかな。でも当時の状況では修理すら難しかったでしょうね。

@kalfs 第一次攻撃の時点でTF58から約350浬なので、損傷後の速力にもよりますが、北北西方向に離脱すれば運が良ければ逃げ切れるかも。

@RX2662 引き返したとしてそもそも帰還できたんだろうか、追加攻撃喰らって終わってしまいそうで（汗）

At it's now _2_ April, we can think about better use of IJN Oyodo and its sistership Niyodo for real 😉 A thread > Oyodo-class to carry 6 hight-speed recon E15K Shiun = 紫雲. Seaplane carriers Chitose, Chiyoda, Nisshin could carry some ... >

@kantaidoge1999 @EugenPinak This is a bit of a digression, but perhaps it's not included in the specifications, so it's not being done, but it might be possible if they wanted to do it. However, there haven't been any requests for it.

@EugenPinak @RX2662 Due to structural limitations, the A6M2-N couldn't take off using a catapult. In fact, this photo shows the Kamikawa Maru transporting A6M2-Ns.Likewise, the N1K couldn't use a catapult either for the same reason.

@8snt3k @kantaidoge1999 @EugenPinak The bogies have different track gauges, and if they are different, they are not compatible and cannot be "easily" adapted. Furthermore, the differences in gauges were due to specific needs.

@RX2662 @kantaidoge1999 @EugenPinak Not very important—the carriage the seaplane sat on in the catapult came in multiple variants and could be easily adapted to other seaplanes. If the Japanese had wanted to use the catapult with more demanding aircraft, they could have simply modified the carriage.

@EugenPinak @kantaidoge1999 Unfortunately, the A6M2-N Type 2 Seaplane Fighter also does not have a catapult launch system.

@RX2662 @kantaidoge1999 Thank you for clarifications! So for fighter cover this alternate history squadron needs to carry A6M2-N Type 2 seaplane fighters.

@kantaidoge1999 @EugenPinak The catapult system at Oyodo uses a special type of rail and is completely incompatible with others.

@EugenPinak @RX2662 The reason only ooyodo can launch the E15K Shiun is that it has a different catapult from other seaplane tenders 😄

@EugenPinak The seaplane tenders Chitose, Chiyoda, and Nisshin can use the E16A Zuiun for catapult launches. The N1K Kyofu was not designed with catapult launch in mind.

@RX2662 But can they carry and launch from catapults E16A Zuiun and N1K Kyofu?
