The craziest thing about the Sabres to me is after 14+ years, one day they were great and that’s it. No build up. No signs of progress. No inching up standings year after year. Just bam. Great hockey team.

@Matt_Bove We’re on fire first period and then played tired 2nd and 3rd. The legs slowed down and it let the Caps start getting shots on goal when they were outshot first period. And Caps started pushing them around because Sabres slowed down

Sabres lose. Thought they played two lousy periods. They just felt flat for most of the game. Was bound to happen at some point, but that’s a team they should beating on the second night of a back to back on home ice.

Bills losing Reggie Gilliam to their division rival. Gilliam was a big help in the run game for leading rusher James Cook and always a core special teamer for the Bills. Tough loss for them.

Losing Reggie Gilliam is tough for the Bills (but good for him to cash in). They’ve always loved him, so have to wonder if this is an indication Joe Brady is moving away from as much fullback usage?! Gilliam played over 20% last year.
