@blind_girl_dre CGMs changed my life! Got my A1c from 11 to 5.6. 100% worth it. Only con: sometimes you feel like a robot with a machine constantly attached to you. Still worth it!

In Judaism, if you say a prayer over something, then fail to do the requisite action that follows, like blessing bread and not eating it, it’s a bracha levatla - which is a sinful act.

As of today, I've lived with Type 1 diabetes for 60 years. When I was 7, I overheard a cousin say, "he'll be lucky if he makes it to 35." Not sure how much of this is due to genetic luck and how much is due to my d-management, but, astonishingly, here I am. Thanks, universe!

I hate how stories are framed as a "win" or "loss" for Democrats or Republicans.
Paid family leave getting killed isn't "a blow to Biden" it's a blow to parents who have to pay $2,000 a month for daycare and a blow to kids who will grow up without bonding with their parents.
