1/ Yesterday amendments to the #IllegalMigrationBill were voted down in the House of Commons. As it stands, the bill will tear apart the UK's protection for #modernslavery and #HumanTrafficking victims and aid criminal traffickers. The bill heads now for parliamentary ping-pong.

Timely recommendations for UK given #IllegalMigrationBill would make areas worse. Agree re NRM wait times, penalties for traffickers, appointment of Commissioner, non-punishment for acts due to trafficking, right to work in NRM, monetary remedies.

Only 5 cases of federal prosecution of labor trafficking in the US in 2022 is remarkably low. We have repeatedly seen that you find what you’re looking for. Focus on coerced/forced from police, officials, and the public is crucial.

The 2022 Federal Human Trafficking Report is available now! The FHTR analyzes the 183 new criminal cases of human trafficking filed in the federal court system. The FHTR also features data on 363 new victims and 238 newly charged defendants.
