Many businesses paying a ransomware demand don't get their data back The survey by Veeam found only one in three (32%) who paid up recovered their data in 2024, compared with more than half (54%) in 2023. @David_wthebeard Be willing to do this is the first step. You know that. Just be all in. Don’t second guess any suggestion. If someone tells you to stand on your head for 5 min to stay sober, just do it. It’s all part of the process- letting go and practicing that you are not in charge.

I’m super thankful for everyone’s encouragement. But I’ve seen people say that I should be proud. I’m not proud. I’m embarrassed. My wife is hurting. My daughter will realize that her father is not around. This isn’t a good moment in my life. People don’t know my history so I can’t blame them. I’ve gone to rehab quite a few times. I’ve dealt with this issue. But in my selfishness I’ve decided to run when things got hard. It was a build up of constant days without the word of God, without prayer, without fellowship. This has to be the last time. My wife can’t take it. She doesn’t deserve it. I just want to be the man the Lord has called me to be.

I’m going back to rehab. Probably won’t be on here for a bit. Please pray for my family.
