After nearly a decade with @MoorInsStrat, I’m excited to announce that in the new year, I will establish myself as an independent industry analyst. LoneStar Advisory & Research will continue to focus on my historic practice areas of enterprise and data center networking, telecommunications, and cybersecurity, with new extensibility into universal communications and end device security. Additionally, I am launching a new practice area focused on optical networking infrastructure, interconnects, underlying silicon, and services. The need for highly performant networking has never been more important, especially in today’s modern AI era. Those solution providers that can deliver scale up, out, and across will reap the rewards of the networking infrastructure gold rush. I want to thank @PatrickMoorhead for the opportunity to help build the depth of his firm through my personal contributions and analyst recruitment over the years. His mentorship has been instrumental in my journey. .@TMobile is quickly transforming its mobile network to handle the needs of modern AI applications and workloads with deep AI integrations across its core and RAN infrastructure. Physical AI will demand lower latency, higher throughput and massive robotic device and agentic framework support. This announcement with @nvidia at #NVIDIAGTC demonstrates that a strong ecosystem and mobile network foundation will be key to facilitate disruptive use cases spanning smart cities, utility inspection and industrial safety among many others. ⬇️

The announcement payload at #NVIDIAGTC continues to roll with @Cisco announcing new enhancements to its Secure AI Factory with @nvidia. Enhancements include compute optimized for edge AI use cases, support for the AI Grid architecture for service providers and new switches that feature Spectrum-6 Ethernet silicon. Cisco's AI Defense platform also incorporates Nvidia's new AI agent NeMo guardrails and OpenShell AI runtime defense provisions. I'll be weighing in on my thoughts here in a future @Forbes contribution. In aggregate, these integrations build upon Cisco's significant investment and continued innovation in secure networking. ⬇️

I like what @HPE and @nvidia are architecting to place compute resources closer to data to unlock new efficiencies for service providers with AI Grid. It leverages the historic strength of Juniper's telco long haul routing capabilities and HPE's deep and broad portfolio. This creates an AI WAN fabric for the red hot trend towards distributed inference and facilitating edge AI use cases. #NVIDIAGTC ⬇️

Two interesting announcements this week from @CatoNetworks. The first - an @nvidia GPU deployment across its global private backbone for improved AI runtime security. A second - the integration of its acquisition of @aimsecurity to strengthen AI agent governance with the launch of Cato AI Security. I like the forward thinking to reimagine Cato's SASE services to meet the ever changing requirements of generative AI applications and agentic frameworks. #NVIDIAGTC ⬇️
