@blakemckimmie Wow, quite an in-depth analysis. The result of too much bed-time reading? Timmy does seem to save the day in many of the stories, so it is plausible.

And it explains why the adults apparently never learn from the events of previous adventures and don't listen to the children. The adults are surprisingly absent as well. Clearly Timmy has trust and abandonment issues when it comes to adults.

What if the stories in The Famous Five are all a figment of Timmy’s imagination as he is stuck in the pound waiting in vain to be re-homed? It would explain a lot.
