People defending Scott Mills because Scott Mills, get a grip. A serious allegation has been made. It was dismissed due to lack of evidence, not due to undeniable innocence. Only two people know what really happened. what I know is that alleged victims deserve to have a voice.

I don’t know @scott_mills and haven’t met him But if we’re truly at the stage where a man can lose everything… based on an accusation the police themselves didn’t think warranted further action, that seems unfair and wrong. If there’s nothing more to this- and that’s a big if- then we’ve reached a v worrying place. Accusations don’t mean guilt. We need to know if there’s more behind this, or if this is the BBC massively over- correcting their Huw Edwards inaction.

And it’s usually because no one listens, no arrests are made, there are no convictions and because somehow, if it did happen, it was her fault. Victims must be listened to, both male and female.

@cristo_radio @scott_mills The police said there was insufficient evidence. Of there was - this allegedly happened 20 years before the investigation. Insufficient evidence is not the same as innocence. And ‘Matthew Kelly was innocent’ means fuck all here. Get a grip.

@FacundoSavala Whatever he has or hasn’t done, I will miss his breakfast show. It really improved when Zoe Ball left. He actually listened to his interviewees and sounded happy to be on air. I am beginning to think that is really the best we can hope for from BBC presenters these days.!

@RachelWoollett @BBCRadio2 I've no interest in the Scott Mills saga. My great surprise is how long he lasted. He was an awful broadcaster. Steve Wright lost his show to Mills. There is no justice. Some people seem to float through life with limited talent.
