Kimi is a very very quick, talented, yet exceptionally poor W2W racing driver.
That’s not going to change. He simply doesn’t have that part of it. One of the (deep) bottom half of the F1 field in that category, he’s shown over and over he is a liability on track.
There’s just no denying this with rose colored glasses anymore.

BTW, the INDYCAR/F1 gap is no different to the LA Liga/Premier League gap. The quality at the bottom and middle may be better in F1, but top talents are top talents.

Was this idea of reaching F1 fans in other parts of the US really worth it? Because the fact they aren’t coming for F2 is saying to me that the majority of people attending aren’t racing fans, they’re people who just want to be SEEN at a Grand Prix

He’s schooled Russel basically from start to finish and he’s 19, plenty of time to mature in W2W. When speed is innate and so exceptional, for sure a lot of maturity can come, I’m sure we haven’t even seen what he’s capable of yet. But we’ll see, for sure still quite sloppy racecraft.
