In his final days in office, former Mayor Eric Adams sought to shield Elizabeth Street Garden as NYC parkland, so that it couldn’t be developed into affordable housing. The garden has sat as a rare nature enclave in one of the busiest parts of Manhattan for decades. ❄️NYC is under its first Blizzard Warning in 8 years and here are the latest forecasts and prediction market expectations: Earlier this week, the GFS (American) model was projecting ~16 inches while the ECMWF (European) was closer to ~8. Prediction markets leaned toward the higher end. The ECMWF has since shifted, and the NWS is now forecasting 13-18 inches for the five boroughs. @Kalshi has 10+ inches at 91%, 12+ at 83%, and 15+ at 61%. @Polymarket's top bucket — "13 or more inches" — is at 88%.
