@esaagar Sure there's really opposition, but what you're missing is that opposition is mostly wrong. The water usage isnt really a deal. They should be responsible for their own power, but honestly, a data center compared to a giant industrial factory of yesteryear?

@Bob48562632 @jmitchellefx @michaelmalice I get the corruption. What you propose is a new constitution that only increases it. The cesspool X is, the propaganda from both parties, the media, other social media, enter AI.. never ending political ads on 1000 page bills no Americans will read.. thats your fix? Sure man..

@RadResRevo @jmitchellefx @michaelmalice I get your point about a direct democracy, and I get your point about the hurdles it would take to change the system. But there is a corruption problem that you won't acknowledge. Even if I'm elected with fair intentions, I could be blackmailed/threatened to comply or resign.

@Bob48562632 @jmitchellefx @michaelmalice Yes, it is. You will need 38 states to ratify a new Constitution. And, you fail to consider the corruption in a direct voting democracy. You think people are gullible and unprincipled now, just wait until they can directly vote themselves largess. What planet are you from?

@RadResRevo @jmitchellefx @michaelmalice No that's not the bottom line. If that's all we needed to do then I wouldn't have suggested such a major change to the system. The candidates are corrupt. Not all of them, but enough that the house always wins. The basic idea of electing better candidates isn't a real solution.

@Bob48562632 @jmitchellefx @michaelmalice Welcome to politics. Been that way since ancient Greece and certainly since the beginning of our republic. Make a better case, persuade, and execute. The bottom line of this whole discussion comes down to that, electing better candidates.

@jmitchellefx @Bob48562632 @PatsCentralHQ @michaelmalice What in Article 1, in those sections, would allow congress to offload votes to the public? No matter how many times you describe direct democracy in practice, then say that's not what you're describing, its still direct democracy. Have a little hissy, lol. You're exhausting.

You definitely didn't read or understand anything I wrote. If you did then you wouldn't have seen any reference to open democracy. In addition, the comment that started this particular thread was further from the hypotheticals being bandied about earlier regarding replacing the duties of Congress. Tech can play a game changing role in how we the people ensure our representatives do just that, represent US. If you can't see how then that's a you issue. I don't expect an apology for the misplaced ad hominem attacks, but you should take a breath and look in the mirror.

@jmitchellefx @Bob48562632 @PatsCentralHQ @michaelmalice All the while, you argue for direct, mob rule democracy while saying you're not changing anything. Honestly, that's just not our form of government, no matter how obtuse you care to be. Again dude, do some homework. You may be smart as hell, but that doesnt change ignorance.

@jmitchellefx @Bob48562632 @PatsCentralHQ @michaelmalice You tell me, since I'm not bright enough in your words, what in Article one allows Congress to abrigate it's section 7 and 5 internal deliberation and voting procedures to the public? The section 10 prohibition on delegating enumerated powers to the states or public?

@jmitchellefx @Bob48562632 @PatsCentralHQ @michaelmalice So go to the "people who dont agree with me are stupid," argument. That alone proves your a self important dumb shit. You clearly dont understand that to entertain what you propose would require a constitutional amendment and 38 states. At this point, go fuck yourself.

@jmitchellefx @PatsCentralHQ @Bob48562632 @michaelmalice What if.. what if... we just magically scrapped our entire constitution and became a direct democracy of 350 million people, 95% of which seldom if ever follow politics. Try reading the founding docs, the Federalist Papers, and the philosophers they drew from. 110% NO!

@BigBlockBarry @michaelmalice It is a universal truth, written and recorded through ages of man's servitude to man. Speak from your own arrogant ignorance and obtusity, for you too have this tendency, otherwise you wouldn't enslave yourself to shitposting.

@michaelmalice A lot of American citizens appear to want subjugation the way a dog wants its crate. I'm still disgusted that we allow their already catastrophic influence to be supplemented by illegal voting in any degree. Election security looks like a bad joke to me.

It’s the wonderful thing about freedom of speech. I don’t need your opinion before exercising @bonchieredstate It’s also weird that this Canadian is more American than you. Goes to show that being born on the land does not make you more privileged to understanding its customs. Also, congrats. So original. You resorted to identity politics like the assholes on the left. Moron.
Bonchie@bonchieredstate

When I want a Canadian’s opinion on US politics, I’ll let you know.

@michaelmalice Since propaganda is the main pillar supporting the myth of political authority, it seems the myth is in trouble. This would suggest statism itself is in trouble.

@RobDavi41623816 @ThomasEWoods @nick_matau Dupe. Massie is a second rate grandstander who succumbed to the MTG incentive. The new found respect from the left. When you're campaigning with Cenk you've already lost that district, which literally has no jews, no matter who throws money at it. CNN contract after The View.

@RadResRevo @ThomasEWoods @nick_matau What are you talking about! Pro-Israel megadonors targeted Massie to unseat him, while his notable large backer (Yass) is a libertarian/conservative donor favouring limited government and non-interventionism despite his Jewish background. Fact-check my arse.
