Eastern Europe > LATAM So many expat / nomad types are always shilling LATAM when Eastern Europe is better in basically every regard > Significantly safer > Much better infrastructure > Better food standards > “western sensibilities” so to speak > better architecture > more walkable > better technology > better health care > superior history and culture All that while the price of a GREAT EU capital city (think something like Tallinn or Riga) is the same price as a good capital city in LATAM (think something like Buenos Aires)

@VivaldiVril Maybe it’s just me but I hate getting home and just sitting on my ass to ‘unwind.’ I may be tired but I often choose to do an active hobby instead. (Outdoor walk, carpentry, car work, gym) It doesn’t have to be so strenuous just active.

@sadgirlyboss The issue begins long before having to ‘bring back virginity.’ These are just societal effects of a broken family/home structures. Bring back present, strong, fathers that love their wives/ daughters. Give honorable examples for young men.

The older I get the more I realize luck is mostly exposure. The men who seem to get lucky are not blessed. They are just out in the world more. Different rooms. Different people. Different conversations. If your routine has been the same for five years, your luck will be the same for five years. Move around. Talk to strangers. Show up where you do not normally go. The rest of your life is sitting in a room you have not walked into yet.

@southevropa All she's saying is that the US purchasing power goes a long way in Portugal. It's true. I travel to Portugal often; the cost of taxi/uber is 25% of US; food, delicious and a crazy value. Although tipping in EU is minimal (5%?), I tip 25-30% because I feel they deserve more.
