The Sixers have to move on from Daryl Morey. The harsh reality is those Harden comments are going to reach a lot of NBA players and prospective free agents. Their whole plan now is cap space for next summer to get a star next to Embiid… is a star going to want to play here after those Harden comments? Well, at least the owner is very invested and can calm this situation down! Oh wait. What a franchise.

@MOConnor_NBA What middle? Morey either made the promise or didn’t. From all prior reporting and Harden’s complaint that Morey would t speak with him for fear of tampering, there was no promise to trade. Harden opted in because he had no market.

@SpikeEskin You don’t have to be a Harden loyalist to see that he’s in the right. Morey pulled one over on ‘em. Harden’s also the only star player to date to not only co-exist well w/ Embiid, but also to elevate the center’s game. But I guess that narrative doesn’t support ‘the process’.

My prediction is the Harden thing will get way uglier than Simmons ever got. Simmons was fine to sit out, Harden will show up and be a constant distraction. I think he’s delusional enough to not realize how much it would hurt his next contract, as well as his legacy
