genuine question for the Kriselle Knight theory, how does Gerson exist in Chapter 4 considering Kris and Noelle never had Gerson as a teacher?

@bupropionville That's not really what's being implied here. Ralsei is talking specifically about how Dustners show up in "specific darknesses", Kris and Susie taking Gersons dust has no bearing on that if Castle Town was made by the Knight

@lion_gemini Ohhhh okay I'm starting to get your point. He might not be lying, it could be pure darkness but we just don't really know what that means yet. The Shelters dark world could also be pure darkness, maybe it has to do with what is used to create the dark world?

@Ragenade_ But that's my point; if Castle Town was created by someone, then Ralsei is lying about Castle Town being made of "pure darkness". It doesn't make sense; that would mean the school was built on top of a fountain without anyone noticing

@Ragenade_ 1. assuming one piece of speculative information to be true is exactly the issue 2. the knight knowing gerson would really not be helpful information whatsoever because all the holidays live(d) in the same town and none are known to have had any particular history with him

@gonergnostic kris has literally made like half of the dark worlds we've seen so far: card kingdom, TV World, flower king, and hell they probably made Castle Town given that the cliffs are similar to ch3 and it's implied that the Knight didn't make that world. I hope they're getting PAIDDD

@Runic_SSB There isn't a lot of info hinting at a connection between Dess and Gerson yet because we don't *know* a lot about Dess yet. But we *know* that Kris and Noelle never had him as a teacher. Also again, if it was Alvin's memory, why would Gerson not appear in Susie's dark world?

@Ragenade_ I’m ngl I kinda forget that the grand fountain wasn’t always there because it felt like that was the implication in chapter 1, that it just existed and was fine but then the Knight started making other fountains and that’s the problem. But like obv the closet wasn’t always that.

@RHVGamer It's heavily implied in not only that scene but just the fact that Gerson doesn't appear in Susie's Dark World. There's nothing implying that Gerson only appeared due to a fountain made with a black shard, it's more implied that it has to do with a core theme of Deltarune: memory

@RHVGamer I mean yeah we aren't *exactly* clear on what it means so there is room for doubt, but it's very very heavily implied that "specific darknesses" relates to dark worlds made by someone with memories of that person. Otherwise, I don't know why Gerson wouldn't appear 2nd Sanctuary

@Ragenade_ we have no idea what "specific darkness" means, everything about it is speculation because ralsei doesn't elaborate. for all we know dustners might only be able to exist in dark worlds created by the black knife/black shards because they're black like darkness
