@Suhelseth Answer isn't easy. It may take 2 full days to ensure that all EVMs have reached the counting station & accounted for. Theoretically, vote counting on 3rd day is feasible, in states where law & order is robust. If law & order is patchy, a day or two more may be required.

Asking a naive question : if we have EVMs and so on, why do we have to wait so long for the results? Isn’t there a tech available that can upload results to a CPU on the day voting ends?

@Sanginamby Only time will tell which side is correct, pro-Nicobar project or anti-Nicobar project. From past experience, nature, rain systems, influence of small forest land in an island >thousand kms away, India as well as in islands itself, will surface later & may be insignificant.

The Nicobar issue has shown up the brain dead duffers like nothing before. They are blindly supporting BJP without verifying any fact. Without thinking of the consequences of such a massacre of environment. Without caring about how they are being played by a greedy govt.

@chirag European countries have not dismantled many infrastructure items. They have just dialled back on them, once their roads & bridges/flyovers are adequate.

Many European countries had roads, bridges like this through the center of the city in the previous century. All dismantled now as they realised that feeding cars into a city instead of quality public transport is not a long term solution.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is not a symbol of one community—he is the conscience of the Constitution itself. As noted by Justice L. Victoria Gowri of the Madras High Court, disrespect to Ambedkar’s image is not a minor act—it reflects disregard for the very principles of justice, equality, and fraternity that define India. To insult Ambedkar is to undermine the soul of the Republic. #DrBRAmbedkar #ConstitutionOfIndia #Equality #Fraternity #Democracy #SocialJustice

Abolish MRP ! Develop countries do not have MRP Let people charge the money they want for the goods they own, if you don't like the price don't buy them but don't use the government to force people to sell goods at the price they don't want.

"Train number 12510, from Guwahati to Bengaluru… just another journey, until one small incident caught everyone’s attention," "In the sleeper coach, a vendor was moving from seat to seat, selling fruit cakes as if everything was normal," "A passenger picked up a packet, checked the MRP — ₹40 — and was about to pay," "But the vendor stopped him and said, ‘It will be ₹50, sir,’" "The passenger paused and calmly asked, ‘The MRP is ₹40… why ₹50?’" "The vendor replied without hesitation, ‘Sir, I delivered it to your seat, there’s a ₹10 service charge,’" "And that’s where things got interesting," "The passenger responded firmly, ‘I’ll only pay ₹40… and I need a bill,’" "The vendor changed his tone, sounding a bit emotional, ‘Sir, we have families to feed… we have to charge a little extra,’" "But the passenger didn’t budge, ‘You’re already paid for this job… this extra charge is illegal. If needed, I’ll file a complaint with IRCTC,’" "The vendor just smiled and said, ‘Tell whoever you want… we always charge ₹50,’" "The rest of the coach stayed silent, but everyone was listening," "No one spoke up… maybe because this has now become ‘normal,’" "But the real question is — has MRP become just a number printed on the packet?" "This isn’t about ₹10… it’s about accountability in the system," "If this continues, overcharging in the name of ‘service’ will become routine," "It’s time for strict action… otherwise even those who raise their voice will eventually fall silent,"

Ties bet India & Bang froze after Hasina’s removal, even disrupting trade. However since Tarique Rahman appointed a new PM, efforts are underway to ease tensions from both sides. And then comes Himanta saaar. Following his comments Dhaka summoned India's acting High Commissioner Pawan Badhe. He claims that people of Assam feel more “comfortable” when a hostile atmosphere exists between India and Bangladesh, as it makes deportation easier. But is this truly the will of the people of Assam or merely his own political desire? Do the people of Assam have no other concerns, no other aspirations? A sitting Chief Minister openly suggesting that strained ties with a neighbouring country are “comfortable” because they serve his domestic politics - what kind of nationalism is this? However, Indian Envoy wasn't summoned for this but his ABP Ananda interview where said India’s BSF detains individuals until a suitable moment is found to push them back into Bangladesh. These people are pushed back by taking advantage of the night’s darkness, in places where the BDR (now BGB) is not present. Dhaka conveyed to the Indian Envoy that the remarks made by Sarma were “disparaging” to bilateral ties and expressed their displeasure. Claim Vishwaguru but can't even maintain good relations with one single of your neighbours. One by one all are now more closer to China. Ghanta Vishwaguru!

@dhume Probably not. CM Modi had set an unprecedented track record as CM of GJ, which reflects in GJ becoming a BJP bastion thereafter. Shri Pramod Mahajan did not have such an opportunity as MH CM to establish his credentials. Moreover, CM Modi had stronger RSS roots & links.

@SurajKrBauddh Reality check: Read TN dravida history. For dravida ideology politicians holding power in TN state since 1968, their Periyar is more significant. Including emancipation & upliftment of SC & OBCs in the state. Dr. Ambedkar had far less impact in TN vis-a-vis Periyar.

A man in Tamil Nadu allegedly opened his own bank without an RBI license… And hundreds of people believed it was real. The name was RAFC Bank. It had branches across cities like Chennai, Madurai, Salem and Erode. And the shocking part? Everything looked real. • Bank boards • Staff uniforms • Counters • Passbooks • Debit cards • Loan services The accused reportedly presented himself as a UK-returned MBA graduate and convinced people the bank was genuine. Many people deposited money. Some job seekers even paid lakhs for bank jobs. But investigators later found there was no valid RBI banking license behind the operation. Police later arrested the main accused after RBI officials reportedly noticed suspicious documents. Reports say: • 9 branches were operating • Around ₹2 crore transactions happened • ₹56 lakh cash was recovered during raids This became one of India’s most shocking fake banking fraud cases.

@RishiJoeSanu In Kerala, the main obstacle to infrastructure requiring land space is the land acquisition. People simply don't want to part with land. When KL govt pilots any such project thru central agencies, it picks up the incremental cost over average land costs in other states.

@CultOfRize Never use dangerous words like Annihilation. It was used by Naxals; see their position now. When a group tries to annihilate a practice or concept, it will cause a counter reaction, which can be disastrous for those attempting Annihilation. Dr Ambedkar didn't believe in it.

I don’t accept the term Hindu Nationalism - Prof. Romila Thapar. It was so delightful listening to her recent interview. 🔵 She explained that when the British came, they didn’t find any chronological history books of ancient India. Then they decided that they had to write history for us. And that is when James Mill wrote his book, History of British India. The British were giving us our history. The central point of James Mill’s history was that India had always consisted of two nations - the Hindus and the Muslims. Both are distinctly different and have been constantly hostile to each other. This James Mill narrative is what gave rise to the Two-Nation Theory. Here, she reminded us that this narrative also appears in Hindutva, in which the treatment of Hindus and Muslims is much more oriented towards hostility and aggression than towards instances where there was coming together. 🔵 She then named another person, Friedrich Max Müller, who read all the Vedic texts and then developed this history that the Aryans came to India and that the original Hindus were all Aryans, and therefore belonged to a superior race. Thus, it was concluded that this Hindu culture was superior to all other cultures that existed in this land at that time. Prof. Thapar again reminds us here that this notion of superiority also appears in Hindutva. 🔵 These are two examples of a very clear and direct link between colonial ideas and Hindutva. She said “I’m always a little amused by all these statements that are made these days that Hindutva is indulging in decolonization. Because if it were, in fact, indulging in decolonization, the first thing it would have to do would be to reconsider its own ideology, which is very much colonial.” 🔵 In the final part of the interview, she claimed “I don’t accept the term ‘Hindu Nationalism’ because that’s a majoritarian phrase. I accept secular democratic nationalism, which represents all Indians, all citizens.” Prof. Thapar is now about 95 years old and still engaged in public discussions, rejecting majoritarianism and the ideology of hate that distorts history to use it as a weapon with her evidence based arguments. My respect to this scholar and activist. 💜

@Pranshi7tech Yes, it is a painful situation for women in India. Many men don't ogle or stare at women. They mind their own business & give her the space to be comfortable & secure. A small % of men, especially 1st generation rural migrants, are enough to harass women in public spaces.

Two days ago, I traveled to Jodhpur for work. But from the moment I got off the train, I felt uncomfortable. A group of men, probably between 18–28, kept staring at me not just a glance, but constant, unsettling staring. Later, when I went out for dinner, it happened again. More men, the same kind of staring. I was wearing a full-sleeve shirt and loose pants nothing revealing but it didn’t matter. Their audacity made me feel exposed and vulnerable. I wanted to confront them, but I couldn’t. I froze, and I hated myself for not speaking up. That whole day felt wasted. Instead of focusing on my work, I was just trying to get through the discomfort. When I returned to Jaipur next day, it happened again. I was in an auto when a group of men in a Scorpio slowed down beside me. More staring. The number plate was from UP. This time, I felt real fear. In that moment, I made a promise to myself if I ever have a daughter, I won’t let her grow up in India feeling unsafe like this. I will do everything in my power to protect her no matter what it takes.

Teena Choudhary said that her Grandfather and Father, both served in the INDIAN ARMY. Her Father fought two Wars for India. She also said 8 members of her family have SERVED in the INDIAN ARMY. She also said, don’t use my shoulders to take pot shots at anybody because you all political parties are guilty of the same offence - “utter disregard and absolute apathy for the general public.” But look at this Post by ANI. It conveniently IGNORED the crux of her message and has only AMPLIFIED the pro-BJP Minister part. That’s how the RW ecosystem is, ECONOMICAL WITH TRUTH. Godi Media for a reason, STAUNCH one at that.
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Teena Choudhry, the woman seen in the viral video wearing a black cap, confronting Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan over a traffic jam, releases a statement detailing her side of the story She says, "I have received so many messages regarding my safety. I want to let you know that I'm fine and I appreciate the concern. That day, on April 21, I dropped my daughter off for her music class at four. I was meant to pick her up at 4.45. When I took a left turn from Mahindra Taj, we got stuck in a jam there. I was in my car for 25 minutes. When the traffic did not move, I got out to find out what the problem was. For the next one and a half hours, I went to every single police officer there to request that if you get the two buses removed, people who are stuck, we can make a U-turn and join the main road. I received no reaction, no response. I did not throw that bottle towards any protester or rally, but on the ground to attract the attention of the police... Mr Mahajan was actually the only person in that rally who at least tried to listen to what I was saying. On his instructions, the two buses were moved, and we all took a U-turn, and we were able to join the main road..." (Disclaimer: Screenshot of the viral video from social media)
