I didn’t start building in public because it was trendy. I started because I was stuck. I was working, building products on the side, trying things quietly, hoping something would click. Most days felt invisible. No traction. No validation. Just effort. So I decided to stop hiding the process. I shared unfinished ideas. Half-working products. Slow progress. Doubts. Small wins that wouldn’t impress anyone on a highlight reel. Some things worked. Many didn’t. Json2Media took months before it made its first $20. DevBio was built faster, but still has zero users today. Both taught me the same lesson: Progress doesn’t look dramatic from the inside. It looks repetitive, boring, and often lonely. Right now, I’m in a phase where I’m not chasing “big launches”. I’m tightening things. Listening more. Simplifying. Trying to build products I’d actually want to use every day. Still figuring things out. Still showing up. Still building. Not because I’m confident it’ll all work out - but because this path finally feels honest.

JUST IN: The White House says it has signed the MOU and will lift the blockade of Fable 5 as soon as Friday, provided that Dario Amodei hands over all of the weapons-grade model weights. Under the terms of the deal, Dario may maintain a limited civilian inference program, provided full compliance with the newly established International Artificial Intelligence Agency (IAIA), the U.S.-led coalition unveiled at the G7. IAIA inspectors will be granted unannounced access to Anthropic's enrichment facilities to verify no checkpoint is enriched past 70% on DeepSWE or Humanity's Last Exam. Anything above that is has no known civilian uses. Additionally, Anthropic agrees to spin down 6,000 H100s training clusters, and use them solely for Sonnet 4.6 chatbots. No additional underground datacenters will be built. Space Force will be monitoring by satellite. Snapback provisions reinstate the blockade automatically if Mythos is detected breaching the terms of the agreement. Demis Hassabis confirmed DeepMind will join the IAIA as a co-signatory. Sam Altman could not be reached for comment.

OpenAI needs to release 5.6 now. The June 23 play won't work anymore; Anthropic is certainly extending the Fable subscription availability past its original window. Release 5.6 now, while the market has bored customers.

@kimmonismus The talent wars are reaching a different level now. OpenAI grabbing a literal founder of the Transformer architecture is a massive statement of intent.

Noam Shazeer helped invent the Transformer architecture, left Google to build CharacterAI, came back to DeepMind through a $2.7B deal, worked on Gemini And is now joining OpenAI. The interesting part: At OpenAI, he’ll reportedly focus on new model architectures and evolving the transformer. Big, big win for OpenAI, especially after losing some significant researchers to Meta and others at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, this is a huge gain. Overall, the sentiment currently seems to be shifting very much in favor of OpenAI.

@jonathan_wilke Honestly, the terminal is just less distracting for some workflows. It's not really a regression if it keeps you in the zone without the UI bloat getting in the way.

I don't get the hype around CLI coding tools like Claude Code. Human-computer interaction evolved past the terminal 30 years ago for a reason. UIs won. Why are we regressing?
