Everyone wants AI growth.
Very few people want the infrastructure required to support it.
The moment a new data center project gets announced, the conversation shifts to:
power usage,
water concerns,
noise,
land,
community resistance.
You cannot demand more digital infrastructure while opposing every physical system behind it.
At some point, the industry and the public need a more honest conversation about what AI expansion actually requires.

ESPN analysts are urging the Raiders to sign veteran WR Stefon Diggs.
Yes, he can still play. But he checks a lot of the wrong boxes for LV.
Older ✅
Expensive ✅
Distraction ✅
Bad locker room reputation ✅
Personally, I'd stay away.

No one wants to see this in the Finals. Not a single soul outside of OKC

Shai falls down with no one touching him. 2 free throws.

@_Murf Large PE groups tend to ruin everything good about the companies they acquire. And shit gets even more expensive.

Thankfully Mark isn't going anywhere anytime soon & remains in control...
That said, I'm a bit fearful for the day he isn't. Oakland is long in our rearview mirror at this point & hope the spirit and mystique of the Raiders does not get lost in a corporate shuffle #RaiderNation

.@Raiders owner Mark Davis told me he's beyond excited about the future after the most recent additions to the ownership structure. That includes Egon Durban, who will eventually own the club. "Raider Nation is going to end up loving him" The latest: nypost.com/2026/05/19/spo…

I low point in the history of the @SFGiants
Imagine Mays, McCovey, Posey, Bonds, Kent or Clark acting like this on a garbage 18-24 team.

Apparently, MLB told the Giants to stop doing this. Thoughts?

@Rangers__Nation Drunk peeps in the nose bleed section. Get it nose bleed?

@HughJupside @SharpFootball After the Shamar Stewart disaster, it seems they over-corrected to get a veteran for immediate impact.

To keep Dexter Lawrence for 4 years will cost the Bengals roughly $100 MM.
The #10 Draft pick would have cost the Bengals $28 MM for 4 years.
Would you rather have:
Dexter Lawrence age 29-32 seasons
OR
The #10 draft pick PLUS an extra $72 Million to spend elsewhere
Bad trade for the Bengals.

some thoughts on Lawrence to Cincy...
Dexter Lawrence is a 28-year old stud
he spent most of his career playing vs elite interior OLs of the Eagles & Cowboys
he's been double-teamed at the highest rate in the NFL
he's now playing in the AFC North
Ravens lost their C
Steelers might start a 42-yr old QB
Browns have Deshaun or Shedeur
Lawrence should FEAST
the Giants were TERRIBLE when he wasn't on the field
last year, even in a "down" year for Lawrence:
Giants defense with...
Dexter Lawrence OFF the field:
#32 YPA (8.4)
#31 sack rate (4.1%)
#27 EPA/pass (+0.13)
#26 pass success (47%)
#23 pressure rate (32%)
Dexter Lawrence ON the field:
#7 pass success (40%)
#8 YPA (6.6)
#9 sack rate (7.7%)
#10 EPA/pass (+0.09)
#22 pressure rate (33%)
that was a "down" year for Dexter
the team was top-10 vs the pass when he was out there
bottom-10 when he wasn't
want a larger sample?
last 3 years:
Dexter Lawrence OFF the field:
#32 YPA (7.7)
#31 pressure rate (29%)
#31 pass success (48%)
#30 EPA/pass (+0.14)
#30 sack rate (5.5%)
Dexter Lawrence ON the field:
#8 pass success (42%)
#8 sack rate (7.4%)
#10 EPA/pass (+0.02)
#13 YPA (7.0)
#15 pressure rate (36%)
and again, the context is VITAL:
he was obviously the #1 best player on the Giants defense
every team knew it
they double teamed him at the #1 highest rate and he STILL made this big of a difference
and that was despite playing some of the NFL's top offensive lines in the NFC East as it relates tot he Eagles and Cowboys for YEARS
oh, and then there's this pretty ridiculous nugget:

@ShashiJairam I believe his mom has some health issues that would make it tough to travel so I totally understand. And I wouldn’t want to hug the commissioner either.
English

Curious what you'd do? If you knew for sure you'd be a top pick, would you go?
I get the family thing for sure. But this is a once in a lifetime thing for a select few.
What if you had other great family moments, like celebrating the Natty w/ fam?
Thoughts?

Projected No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza has informed the NFL that he is not planning to attend the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh this month, per sources. Mendoza wants to share the draft experience with his family in Miami.

How do we feel about the Kirk Cousins signing?

@racjac24 No one cares. He will continue to be an MLB umpire as long as he wants.

Mel Kiper Jr. on potential Ty Simpson teams:
“The #Browns don't have to worry about Ty Simpson. They got a better QB than Ty Simpson in Shedeur Sanders. Don’t go there.”
