Great darshan at Maa Kamakhya Temple, Assam. 🙏 It took nearly 12 hrs to complete darshan. For general darshan, I joined queue at 2 AM and got darshan around 2 PM. Vibe of the temple is very different from most others. You can skip long queues by paying ₹501, but VIP darshan must be booked well in advance due to extremely high demand. Also, be aware: animal sacrifices (buffaloes, goats, and pigeons) are part of the temple’s traditional rituals. Plan ahead. This is not a casual visit. Now, let's talk about the management, which is terrible, because there are no toilets, no drinking water, and nobody will even listen to your problems. The VVIP darshan has made things even worse.
