@JRailVolunteer Combination of not running trains north of Queen’s Park reducing our flexibility with regards to turning services around and finding train staff for them, an existing shortage of trains + the significantly reduced number of trains due to damage caused by the gauging discrepancy

With the current operational incident which has been going on for that last 4 days at Stonebridge Park Depot which has seen all services suspsended north of Queens Park, with a limited service of roughly 12tph between Queens Park & Elephant & Castle is this due to lack of tains?

@robbo84_kltfc Yeah, mostly from Leeds. It’s very bizarre and most likely a scam rather than a wrong number given we’re all experiencing them

Not sure if anyone else is getting this but the last few days I’m getting 3-4 silent phone calls a day from random mobile numbers. No point in blocking as it’s a different number each time. Anyone else seeing this or is someone trying to scam me?

@HarryEagle @chilternrailway I’d imagine it applies to Railcard discounts etc - for journeys that those discounted rates apply to, you’d still be better off with a ticket or Smartcard to get the best value

@chilternrailway I checked your website and it says "Pay as you go with contactless may not alwy be the cheapest way to pay for your journey" - so how can I know which is? Hence my question on price capping data.

@sarahcleaver86 @chilternrailway the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines from Baker Street up to Wembley Park. No closures on any of these services as far as I know.

You want a Harrow and Wealdstone bound train - if you can’t get one, get any Bakerloo train to Queen’s Park and you’ll then have the Overground and Tube as options to get to Wembley Central. @epollaert @GarrAarghHrumph Yup, - on Friday and Saturday evenings, the ‘core sections’ of the Central, Jubilee, Victoria, Piccadilly and Northern lines have had continuous service through the night for nigh on a decade!

Today, sadly, is my last full day in London. I’m going back to NY. I’m sad to leave here, but also psyched to see my family and cat (and dopey dog). So, in honor of my leaving, some things I’ll miss about London, a short thread:

@RailwayExplorer @chilternrailway @CHRailPhoto Marylebone has 5 platforms able to accommodate 9 carriage trains, and 1 platform able to accommodate only up to 5 coaches, so 10 wouldn’t be possible without significant re-engineering of it and the majority of the other stations up the line capable of taking 9 at most

@Lydia_Guthrie @wembleystadium @chilternrailway You could catch the Oxford Tube to Hillingdon and take the Metropolitan line from there to Wembley Park. GWR services from Oxford to Paddington and Chiltern services from Oxford/ Oxford Parkway to Marylebone should be running, and you can catch the Bakerloo line from either (1/2)

@BrynHarris6 @chilternrailway @GWRHelp Usually each duty is allocated a broadly similar train on a given day, so for example the 06:45 and 07:52 from OXP almost always will be Clubman sets, but it can differ due to logistical challenges and circumstances with fleet distribution

@chilternrailway @GWRHelp Do you use the same carriages on a given route? e.g. the 11.55am from Oxford Parkway to London today has the basic carriages - is it reasonable to assume this service will always use this carriage? Or do you chop and change?

@chilternrailway any plans to use more Clubman & Mainline carriages between Oxford & London, like you used to? I mean, look at this. No tables or powerpoints, so doing work is difficult. And the decor is straight out of the Eastern Bloc. @GWRHelp much more tempting. Sort it out!
