They believe fast food brands & franchisees are simply printing money at the expense of the consumer. Reality is many are just trying to survive, and price hikes are a response to increased costs across the board - Labor, food, 3rd party delivery, new construction, etc. etc. It's tough out there

Would Major league baseball prefer to have fans subscribe to its streaming platform over cable? Absolutely . Is that a reason to delay announcing the channel lineups for various cable providers for the teams under its distribution umbrella till opening day? It’s not unfair to believe that.

Accountants love percentages. Bank accounts love dollars. 30% food cost on $10 = $7 in your pocket 40% food cost on $25 = $15 in your pocket The "bad" margin doubled your profit....$ Margin surpasses % Margin. Percentages are for spreadsheets. Dollars are for payroll and profit.

@latterdaylaura You’re exactly right. And the proof is in the pudding. My three kids are 39, 37, and 35. All 3 walking with the Lord, all 3 raising their kids in the church. This is the reward for making them the priority during their first 18 years. Raise them right and you will never be sorry.

My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last. No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe. Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5. In a few short years, they’ll be out of the house and you’ll have all the time in the world for your own stuff. It’s okay to come last for a while.
