The Office of the National Chairman (ONC), through Hajjat Namyalo @ChiefMuzzukulu has taken a significant step towards transforming lives. At the ONC headquarters in Kyambogo, youth and women from Kampala’s informal settlements received motorcycles, sewing machines, and toolkits to launch sustainable income-generating activities.
Twenty brand-new motorcycles, each valued at over UGX 5 million and donated by businesswoman Maria Markh Honda, were handed over to youth groups to support boda boda businesses and other livelihood projects. Sewing machines were provided to women’s groups, including sex workers, enabling them to start tailoring businesses. Toolkits were also given to youth mechanics in Ndeeba, Kabalagala, and Kisenyi to strengthen their garages and increase their earnings.
Hajjat Namyalo commended the resilience and loyalty of the youth to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, stressing that empowering vulnerable communities remains a key priority for the ONC. She warned against individuals seeking to exploit the youth for personal gain, reaffirming her commitment to genuine development and self-reliance.
Maria Markh Honda expressed that her donation is part of a shared vision to support national development and uplift Ugandans from poverty in line with the President’s goals.
This initiative underscores ONC’s continued efforts to translate political support into real opportunities for marginalized groups.
