Worship was never meant to be limited to a church service or a crowded room. God desires hearts that praise Him personally, daily, and sincerely. Creation declares His glory, but each of us must still choose whether we will worship Him ourselves.

#OTD May 29, 1874: G.K. Chesterton, English essayist, poet, and writer, was born in London. A master of paradox, which he called “supreme assertions of truth,” Chesterton used wit and insight to defend the Christian faith in a skeptical age. Poet T.S. Eliot later credited him with doing “more than any man in his time … to maintain the existence of the [Christian] minority in the modern world.”

Be completely, totally, fully, confidently, and eternally sure of this, “that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

"The last enemy to be destroyed is death." — 1 Corinthians 15:26 When we lose someone we love, grief is right and real. The depth of our sorrow is a measure of the depth of our love. Even Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus — He knew the devastating weight of what death does to us. But death is an enemy with a death sentence. Paul was given a glimpse of Heaven and came back without enough words to describe it — only that it was paradise. A royal garden. The most breathtaking sight you've ever seen, multiplied beyond imagination. As Pastor Adrian Rogers once put it: "The God who sculpted the wings of the butterfly, blended the hues of the rainbow, and painted the meadows with daffodils is the same who made Heaven." In Heaven, all questions are answered. All tears are dried. All pain is gone. So yes — mourn when you must. But don't lose sight of what's waiting. For the believer, the grave is not the end. It's the doorway. 🕊️ #Faith #Hope #Heaven #Scripture #Christian #Grief #Eternal #1Corinthians #BibleVerse #Devotional

Why are we discouraged? Why are we depressed? Why are we disappointed? At the most basic of levels, it’s because we’ve tried to find a replacement identity in the fallen world. And the scary thing is: this replacement identity is often an unseen and unfelt shift of heart.

That’s a great day at the beach! 2,552 people publicly confessed their faith in Jesus Christ and were baptized in the Atlantic Ocean near Jacksonville, FL, last weekend. The pastor of the church hosting this very special event, Joby Martin, said, "The church is alive and well, the Spirit of God is on the move, and the gospel of Jesus Christ is still changing lives today." Amen! Praise God for every life transformed by the Gospel. cbn.com/news/us/2552-b…
