For the record, trading a 4 WAR Nico for a pitcher of likely lesser value in order to sign a 4 WAR Bregman would be counterproductive at best.

Also why can’t we keep Nico if we get Bregman? To me it’s the same as “freeing up money” getting rid of Bellinger while getting Tucker. Stupid

Interesting development from @MLBBruceLevine Looks like the Cubs have had talks with Alex Bregman. Though 3rd base was promised to Matt Shaw.. it seems there could be a possibility of a Nico Hoerner trade and then moving Shaw to 2nd base 🤯 What do you think of this Cubs fans?

Cubs offseason hasn’t been a failure, it’s actually been quite good. Could have been incredible. Could still be great IF they add a top tier starter, finally sign a high leverage reliever and get insurance for Shaw at 3B. Now that Roki is off the board, they need to proceed accordingly or I’ll be worried.
