@UsernameDelete8 You’re right. The PPA has a huge opportunity to be an organization that’s primarily focused on, and known for, pedestrian safety. But they’re hyper-focused on the expired meters of suburban shoppers.

@DPearsonPHL @UsernameDelete8 Yeah I feel like I’ve read these sorts of statements before. It’s always interesting to see when pols tell you they don’t have the power to do something vs. when they come out swinging against something else that’s totally out of their orbit.

@RandyLoBasso @UsernameDelete8 Both Rebecca and Helen tried to come up with something nuanced and moderate here but we and a lot of other people wanted more fire and brimstone.

@Alain_Mower Haven’t been to a gym since before COVID, but I’ve seen a lot of stories recently about fitness influencers taking over their own space plus like 5 feet in front of them to film themselves.

@RandyLoBasso Depends on the gym but I’ve gone to a variety of gyms over the past decade and this has never been a problem for me. The only problem I’ve had is just general business at peak times.

Feels like some (maybe small) portion of the “I CANT BELIEVE THE AI WOULDNT SAY THE N-WORD TO SAVE A MILLION PEOPLE” guys were pinning their hopes on AI one day becoming their moral compass/God and just do not want to worship a being that will not say the N word.

@RandyLoBasso I personally expect ALL groundhogs to be better at weather prediction than humans with education, who can read and write and analyze trends.

@SnowtoriousCSL So much rage directed as Phil, yet it’s the people who put so much trust in the process.

@SpiritOfEnterpr @PhillyInquirer And they keep doing it because consequences are rare, even when exposed like this. As long as you can stomach the whole city knowing your corruption, you keep doing what you’re doing.

@RandyLoBasso @PhillyInquirer The amount of dumb/corrupt stuff people in city govt do to rub two pennies together is remarkable. Lots of dumb rat racing.

@jongeeting Any time NMA gets quoted as being against something, it means no one is actually against it. Just this one guy who calls himself an “association.”

“A vocal membership” of one guy in every online comment section. These guys should have to say how many members they have in order to get quoted in the newspaper. This is not a real org!

@dmtrubman @DPearsonPHL I also assume certain lines’ ridership and decisions are bringing down the whole system’s numbers. I tried to take a RR train to Mt. Airy late last year and the train ended at North Philly where we had to switch to what became a very crowded bus. I won’t be taking that line again

@RandyLoBasso Are the trains back up to pre-pandemic frequency? I think that's a part of it.
