This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America. Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion. They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us. This was not a drill. This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans. Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst. The closest example I can recall of air power winning a war is the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands. They used bombers to obliterate Rotterdam and threatened to do the same to Utrecht, prompting a surrender. But ground troops were involved in the invasion as well.

If you are trying to get into engineering or you are an aspiring engineer, here is what an engineer drawing should look like today. There is no standard in terms of how to mark the dimensions outside of "ensure you get them all". Some people like to make a 0 line & start from there, but that's not my style personally. I still make engineer drawings and you should to, but they are becoming less & less useful because everybody just wants to upload a .step file & go from there. In my work flow the 3D model is created first & the engineer drawing after. This is because fusion360 makes it so simple & easy to make what comes to your mind! If you were at a big firm & they wanted paper copies, then you have to go find a print shop with a plotter who can print the actual engineer drawings. It's rare now & days, but it does still happen! Any wood workers out there? What's the fastest way for me to make these? I think I need a steel form & to make them on a lathe, but what do you think? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

As a newish parent ive been digging into schools a bit. The center city elementary schools have equivalent test scores to lower merion, if you’re downtown the whole move for the schools thing seems fake and maybe realtor driven at this point.

The issue is everyone of decent SES gets cold feet at school age and bails for fear of brown low income people being near their kids.

Fundamentally, Philly is cheap because of the quality of the public schools. This means the city stays cheap, it never "takes off" like people who buy in sometimes expect it to given the very solid amenities like restaurants, museums, trains, historical architecture, etc.

I would say Baltimore and Philly are the last two cities on the East Coast that are still affordable. Housing is cheap. Crime has tremendously decreased in both cities.
